The enthusiasm of national travel to Thailand appears to have not yet recovered completely.
According to the Thai media, the Deputy Director of the Market Promotion Department of the National Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently revealed that the number of Chinese tourists in the first quarter of this year has risen to 500,000, above the target of 300,000 earlier. However, just over the past April, some Chinese air charter flights were cancelled and the overall number of Chinese tourists was lower than anticipated.
South-East Asia, led by Thailand, has become the leading destination for recovery as domestic entry and exit policies have been optimized in 2023. As previously noted by the National Tourism Authority of Thailand, it is estimated that the number of visitors to Thailand will reach 5 million in 2023. As of April of this year, the number of tourists to China was less than 1 million, and the growth momentum has become fatigue.
Data from the overflights show that in April 2023, the number of flights by the Internal Air Service to Thailand was nearly 1,200, an increase of about 37 per cent over March; the number of passengers travelling to Thailand by the Internal Air Service was over 110,000, an increase of nearly 29 per cent over March, but a slowdown over the previous month.
The East Asia Regional Director of the National Tourism Bureau of Thailand, Chuvi, publicly stated that the decrease in the number of tourists was due mainly to the negative news of Thailand’s tourism on China’s social networks and difficulties in obtaining visas for travel agents. In order to re-establish the confidence of tourists, in the near future, the Thai Brigade will also organize a press conference with the National Police of Thailand.
On 20 April, hesitation was repeated or the end of the month’s Thailand brigade was cancelled and the airfares and hotels were withdrawn.
The tactic of tarnishing is a security event that has been embarrassed on the network. In accordance with the original course, Lieutenant-General Zhang, together with his friends, travelled to Chiang Mai from the State of Hiroshima, and as a result of her initiative to cancel her journey, she took on all detachments, including friends. The logo then changed the destination of tourism to three sub-Saharans.
On social platforms, some users shared their experiences of temporarily cancelling Thailand’s tourism, just as they were.
From the most popular offshore destinations to tourists, it is inevitable that tourists will drop. Even the three-year celebration of the Thai Song Festival (i.e., Water Festival) due to the new coronary outbreak, which returned in April, prevented a decline in the number of tourists.
According to data previously published by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, the number of Chinese tourists in the first quarter of 2023 reached a total of 500,000, of whom the number of Chinese tourists rose to over 270,000 in March; as of late April, Thailand hosted over 77,000 Chinese tourists this year. According to this estimate, the number of Chinese tourists travelling to Thailand in April was around 237,000, a drop of over 13 per cent over the ring. The Thai Bureau also indicated that it was “less than expected”.
There were more than Thai commissariats killed and a national travel agency and agency. “What can think of sudden winds to change? Without a series of events, the number of visitors to Thailand in April will certainly continue to be high.” The head of an outposting agency, Wang Than, felt that there had been a significant reduction in the number of tourist missions to Thailand in April as a result of security incidents outside the country.
Wang Than also revealed that a number of travel agents had predicted the heat of demand in Thailand earlier, pre-empting a large number of air charters in advance, and that the demand was now declining, supplying serious enough to handle air tickets at lower prices.
In recent years, the Foreign and Foreign Service Divisions, such as Air Navigation, Cougar Thailand, Air Spring and Nine dollar, have introduced low-cost Thai airfares. Of that amount, nine yuan renminbi was required for single-way naked airfares in May in Hiroshima-Bangkok and only 800 yuan renminbi in two-way taxes; on 10 May, in the spring and autumn, the air roll-out of the sun-Bangkok air tickets, baggage, accommodation for one night and only 399 yuan renminbi were required, although it is now on board.
Data from overflights also show that the average cost of airfares flowing from the interior of Thailand to Bangkok in nearly two weeks (5.8-5.21) was approximately 1721 yuan, a decrease of about 34 per cent over the five-year period. Data from the trip show that, after five years, the average price of Thai hotels is reduced by nearly one per cent for medium- and domestic users and 20-30 per cent for the Sume Island of Thailand.
In addition to negative news effects, the Secretary-General of the Tourism Association of Thailand, Adi, pointed out that another major problem currently facing the Chinese tourist market was the inaccessibility of visa applications. It was known that the Thai Embassy in China had previously announced a policy of adjusting Chinese tourists to apply for Thai tourist visas, and that the new policy had begun on 8 May, inter alia, by adjusting the group visa application model to a single application, increasing the threshold of the Chinese Agency’s visa travel agency and increasing visa information.
According to a company’s marketing staff, major travel agents are taking advantage of the new Thai visa scheme, “the difficulty of obtaining a visa is rising over time and the original policy requires only original passports and electronic lottery, and now the number of clearances has increased to eight, including current water certificates, passports are being scanned, etc., with four and fifty pages per passenger’s information page”.
Local Thai tourism-related practitioners also have some “injury”.
Starting early in the year, the Thai host agency, the “Tay Play” guided tours, Wang Nie, was busy hit. Despite the pioneering recovery of the demand for Thai tourism in EUS, Chinese tourists continue to be an important source of hospitality for this community, which has many Chinese couriers.
Not only has there been an increase in travel agents, but services such as local hotels, restaurants and so forth have also accelerated. But beginning in mid-March, Wangni and his colleagues heard from time to time the concerns of tourists about travel to Thailand.
“The impact of our April purchase orders has been manifold, and many passengers have been feared for unsafe speech, video-buildings in Thailand.” Wang Nie told the old economy that, last month, some of the guests had cancelled their orders for fear of safety, and colleagues had been busy looking for tourists, “We have also come to the blessings”.
According to Royal Nie, the number of hospitality and tourist missions received in April fell by about four in March. It also indicated that a number of tourists had delayed the order to the summer.
Tourism has contracted and relevant retail trade patterns have been affected.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Group recently indicated that Chinese tourists remained the main city of the Royal Group.
