My name is Alexis Abakasanga, I am a Product Designer and love learning about new things. I first heard about Web 3 from a couple of mutuals on my Twitter feed but had no idea or rather I couldn’t come to understand what it all meant at the time.

Fast forward to the 19th of December, 2021 as if it was meant to happen I came across a tweet by @web3lagos on Twitter about hosting an event. After going through their handle I was hurt that I missed the chance to attend the event, so I looked through and discovered they had a discord server and immediately I joined I started asking questions.

This led me to meet the pilot of the ship in the person of Mr. Lenny Johnson who has to this day been very patient and helpful not just towards me but to all the members of the server in answering questions and providing resources to aid our learning and how to better position ourselves to make money in the Web 3 space.

Fast forward to the present day 28th of July, 2022 after going down the rabbit hole of Web 3 I have won $50 worth of Solana, got $10 worth of ETH, two Cardano NFTs (Afrixx), a Solana NFT (Afrobubble), a CCO NFT (Blocvatar), I got into a Community Manager position and got fired a week later lol, a speaking engagement with a crypto community on Telegram, attended Polkadot Reloaded in the city of Abuja, and others I cannot remember.

It has been an amazing ride and I would dedicate this space to sharing more about my findings on Web 3, thank you for giving my brief article a read :D
