Why Game Developers should build on Web3

The Web3 Gaming industry is Thriving and challenging traditional Web2 gaming with better game mechanisms, and revenue models. If you are a game developer, here's why you should build a Game on #Web3.

IMO, there's considerable market growth further in the gaming industry on Web3, which is not limited to Metaverse gaming. Developers have the freedom to build various economic models, revenue streams, and interoperable games and also access to a better tech stack.

You might wonder why current gamers will jump into Web3 games suddenly. Well, I agree the recent games might not be able to compete with the graphics & userbase of traditional gaming.

That's why there are #Play2Earn Models. Unlike traditional games where you have to participate in competitions, or sometimes you can't even earn real-world assets, here in Web3, you can earn tokens which you can redeem for real-world assets and earn through those.

#GameFi: which kind of mixes gaming with DeFi. Where you can lend/borrow/buy/sell in-game NFTs/Points/Avatars and much more for actual money.

NFTs and Ownership: Users will have complete, verifiable ownership of their in-game characters, weapons, and everything. Since all txns on a chain will be verifiable by everyone, there will be no spoofing.

Tokenization: Your in-game currency, avatars, and every asset will be tokenized, with you having complete ownership. It can help create multiple P2E models and revenue streams for gamers and devs.

Decentralization & Open Source: It'll be more secure, and no one will be able to control or shut it down. You can even fork the game & add new features or try a new economic model in the same game.

Governance & DAO: As Web3 gaming will be revolving around ownership. The gamers will have the right to vote on what or what not to include in-game & a lot of other proposals made by community. So gaming community can further handle the growth of that game.

These beautiful graphics by @Delphi_Digital also summarize various streams that devs can use to monetize the game and how exactly both players and devs can accrue value from Web3 gaming.
