“WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH MY LIFE?”
Ever had that internal voice screaming at you?
Same honestly.
But these days I’ve realized that the answer is quite simple, and that’s what I wanted to share with you.
You’re supposed to do the thing that never leaves—the thing that’s constant. The idea you can’t brush off.
The passion you can’t seem to “outgrow”—no matter where you go or what you do.
“Sara, examples please….”
Ask and you shall receive:
No matter what I do, I can’t stop writing or wanting to share things I learn.
Which made it obvious that I had to write books and share my ideas publicly.
No matter what I do, I love makeup, style, and fashion. In fact, do you want to know when I started wearing high heels? In 1st grade. Yep, you read that right. Unfortunately, a teacher told me not to wear them because they weren’t “functional”—and it made me develop a fear of wearing high heels.
I had to do hypnotherapy when I was 26 to overcome that shit.
(Like wtf? Why would a 26-year-old be scared to wear heels?!)
And to be honest with you… it’s still hard.
What else?
I can’t stop listening to and trying to understand an entrepreneur's mindset.
That’s why I work with entrepreneurs in my business.
Dance? I can’t stop even if my body’s telling me to—the bruises on my knees are proof.
And don’t get me started on music.
A day without it sounds like torture to me.
You see, these are the things that,
no matter where I go,
who I’m with,
or what “title” I have—
these things never leave.
Now, what do you do with this information?
You stop and notice:
What are the things that never seem to leave you?
Is it painting?
Is it your passion for animal rights?
Is it how you love organizing events?
Or how you study fashion magazines for hours?
They’re signs.
And signs aren’t just “signs”.
Signs are wayfinders.
They help you find your way.
They help you find your path.
But you gotta listen.
I don’t believe in “I don’t know.”
I only believe in:
“I’m too scared to admit what I actually already know.”
—Even if you don’t want to admit that.
I think you know.
I know you know.
Now you just gotta find the courage to listen.
Do what never leaves you.
That’s your path.
That’s your purpose.
Personal life update:
This week’s been rough.
I had to decide whether to start studying psychology or keep going as an entrepreneur.
I love psychology (can you tell?) and I actually applied to study it — and got in, of course.
Yesterday (on the 24th of July), I had to decide if I wanted the spot or not.
But the only thing harder than saying no was saying yes.
I wanted it not mainly because I loved it, but to escape the hardships and challenges of being an entrepreneur.
Yesterday I cried, I wrote, I danced, and I decided to keep betting on the thing that never leaves me: entrepreneurship.
Every time I consult with my future self, it’s so obvious — she’s not a psychologist. She’s a confident entrepreneur.
And I know that the uncomfortable feelings I’ve got now that I’ve decided to go all in on entrepreneurship, are exactly what I need to become her.
The difference between me and her is that she’s learned how to live with them. And that’s the curriculum I need to learn. That — and also build a business I love (I’ll tell you more about this one soon).
Ok, that’s it for this week. Message me on IG (@saraendestad) if you can relate so that I can support you too.
We’re not alone. We have each other. We got this
