An Open Civic Studio

I’m setting up a space to think out loud.

This isn’t a blog, exactly. It’s more like a studio — a place to share early sketches, fieldnotes, half-built tools.

Lately I’ve been asking how we might build governance differently. How civic life could feel more alive, more grounded, more collective. How public goods could be designed for care, not just efficiency.

I don’t have clean answers.

But I’m interested in sharing what I find along the way — the fragments, the experiments, the questions that stay open longer than they close.

Some of what I’ll share here will be tools, models, decision-making experiments.

Some will be notes from cities, rivers, sidewalks.

Some will be attempts to imagine systems that include more kinds of life.

I’m thinking of this as a slow archive. A way of making small things visible.

Thanks for finding your way here.
