Why Humapedia.

In my previous article, I wrote about the introduction of Humapedia, a collaborative internet of human encyclopedia. Humapedia is a facial verification-based tool or a people search engine that allows users to find anyone in the web3 space. Web3 is full of anonymous users with NFT PFPs across their socials. It's difficult to distinguish between a fake user and a real user. This is what Humapedia help you to do.

In this article, I'll talk about the importance of a facial-based verification tool in crypto.

With a tool like Humapedia, Sybils attack resistance is assured. Biding an account to a unique identity makes it harder to create multiple accounts.

Peer-to-peer interaction: before going into a trade or an agreement with anyone you meet online, you can use Humapedia to quickly verify his identity to be sure if you are trading with a scammer or an honest person. This helps you build trust.

Humapedia do not store users' private and sensitive information, giving it compliance support with KYC/AML requirements for regulated Web3 platforms.

User tracking: Humapedia helps users to track the history of anyone with the people search engine. For instance, when you use Humapedia to find out a person's real identity, you can search across their social media to check if they have a bad past with others or have scammed anyone before. When you search people with a wallet address or photo, Humapedia searches across different social media to help you find the real identity of the person you are searching for.

All data are from open and permissionless sources.

By bringing Humapedia to web3, issues with trust, privacy, fake accounts, fraudulent activities, and data storage can be solved and improve user experience.

If you are new to Humapedia, do well to try out the beta phase of the product and become an early adopter.

See you in my next post. Thanks for reading.
