Mahuangliang Town, Yuyang District, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province has a boundary between the Loess Plateau and Maowusu sandy land. The thick loess layer has been washed by wind and rain for thousands of years, forming a unique geomorphic landscape. Recently, Mahuangliang loess Geopark was completed and opened to the outside world. With a total area of 37 square kilometers, the park has four Geological Relics: loess peak forest landform, quaternary stratigraphic profile, desert landform and paleontological fossils.
