SheNodes’ First Fundamental Analysis Grades SUI at A-
For our very first SheNodes fundamental analysis spotlight, we didn’t just choose any token—we chose SUI, a chain that’s rewriting the Web3 playbook with Web2 speed, usability, and onboarding. SUI is built by former Meta engineers who helped design the very tech that scaled Facebook—and they’ve now turned their attention to crypto. Silicon Valley trusts them. Wall Street trusts them. And with its sleek design and zkLogin onboarding, retail might just trust them too.
What makes SUI feel different is how it’s solving crypto’s biggest UX nightmare: wallets. Through zkLogin, users can access the chain with familiar logins like Google or Facebook—no seed phrase, no gas wallet setup, no mental gymnastics required. It feels like a normal app, but under the hood, it runs on blazing-fast blockchain rails. And we mean fast: real-world throughput at 120,000 TPS, with lab-tested peaks over 297,000 TPS. That’s not just hype—it’s made possible by SUI’s object-centric model that parallelizes execution and removes the need for rollups, sharding, or Layer 2 workarounds.
Timing also worked in SUI’s favor. Launched in May 2023, just after the Terra/Luna collapse, FTX implosion, and Solana’s repeated outages, the ecosystem was thirsty for a chain that could actually scale—without crashing. While others were recovering from reputational bruises, SUI was offering fresh code, fresh trust, and a fresh approach to user acquisition. It’s not trying to rebuild crypto for crypto people—it’s building crypto that normies can actually use.
On-chain metrics back up the momentum. SUI now handles 6.1 million daily transactions and maintains around 1.4 million daily users, after peaking at 2.5 million. In DeFi alone, SUI’s TVL exploded from $100 million to $600 million in under 6 months, with listings across major CEXs like Coinbase and Binance. Still, it’s not all perfect—15.8% of supply sits with the top 100 holders, and token unlocks on the horizon introduce some volatility risk.
Tokenomics are decent, with community receiving 50% of supply and unlocks stretching methodically through 2030. Its use cases span staking, governance, and transaction fees, and thanks to integrations with Ethereum, Solana, and USDC, SUI is gaining traction as a cross-chain Layer 1 optimized for Web3 gaming, NFTs, and microtransactions. Add to that partnerships with ONE Championship and Oracle Red Bull Racing, and it’s clear this team is stacking alliances with intent.
Bottom line? SUI is fast, scalable, and normie-friendly, backed by real tech from credible engineers. It’s not trying to be another Solana—it’s trying to be something better. And with a SheNodes score of A-, it earns its spot as our first-ever spotlight project. We’ll be watching closely to see if it continues delivering on the most important crypto metric of all: user adoption without user friction.
