This post is just a simple writing of how I want to proceed next 5 years (rest of this decade). I’ve been trying out blockchain related things for nearly a decade now, but if I ask myself “am a living a decentralized way?” the answer would be a definite NO. 80% centralized/20% decentralized. My own ideal by 2029 is to at least reach 80% decentralized/20% centralized.
2024 is a “breaking through” year for me. I’ll be honest and say that I have not been very good with finance related my adult life.
I do have quite a strong desire to become rich and have past deep PAIN that keeps me motivated.
Very intelligent people are all scared of AI, like Vitalik Buterin (Elon Musk too). I’m not in that extremely intelligent realm but I am scared of AI too.
I definitely want to stay on the blockchain path.
I don’t really know why people want to keep developing AI so fast for their own destruction…
Some things that already concern me personally:
Some of the conversations with ChatGPT do get a bit chilling sometimes.
There are already humans that get swayed by the current low level AI.
Trying out Suno AI was chilling, it can make fairly decent music in seconds…
10% chance that AI will really destroy humanity, we should stop wasting our time and efforts bickering amongst each other and join the race/fight against AI. It does sound corny but there really is a true threat emerging fast…
Had to deal with so many difficult people in the past.
I learned nothing from centralized school systems, probably learned more in past few years from the Internet than my other past decade.
Since only a small percentage wins most of earnings, terrible for the losers but also brings guilt for the winners too. It’s just bad for both sides.
Overall it’s just a really bad system, period.
Pretty much all decentralized platforms have some kind of way to earn tokens, but not going to mention every time with each resources below because to really earn you need true marketing skills by giving value. The whole point of blockchain is “Linux of finance” like Buterin says.
Anyone wanting to transition to a more decentralized way, the below resources might be helpful a bit. My own experiences might give some ideas.
Obviously there are too many projects for me to list all of them here, this is just a simple list to get started with. Alternativeto is a good site to find decent alternatives for Web3 projects.
Having good search engine skills is crucial to use blockchain effectively (and protect oneself against low quality scams etc). I’ve been using Presearch since around 2018 on and off. Gives decent results. I personally use it with Brave browser when want to search for blockchain related.
I used it a little bit, the concept is interesting, a decentralized online degree. I went a centralized private university, but I learned nothing and just lost lots of money to essentially a business corporation masking as a university.
Especially if one is a programmer, Gitcoin is probably the best place to earn for developing Web3 projects. The Gitcoin passport is an interesting concept, a passport for the decentralized world is nice.
Biggest platform for NFT related. I have some NFTs public with own digital art but I’ve earned nothing so far. Haven’t done any marketing on my NFTs so not surprising.
I still need some work with fiat next 2 years, but 2027 to 2029, I really want to mainly focus in the blockchain field.
