Tel Aviv has an overwhelming amount of delicious restaurants and bars for such a small city. It’s a foodie’s heaven to live here; to have some of the best restaurants from cuisines all over the world. I will publish a few of these coverings my favorite restaurants in certain cuisines. FIRST UP: Mediterranean (which makes the most sense)
Santa Kantarina
Great spot for dinner with friends! I love their twist on the mediterranean cuisine and all of the bread is fresh and homemade which means the pizzas are 👌🏼 but so is everything else and a great place to grab a drink (next to 2 other trendy, lively restaurants)
Abraxas
Eyal Shani is a world renowned Israeli chef and this restaurant is definitely one of my favorite restaurant of his. The fun and casual atmosphere makes eating here fun especially the way they serve the food. Other restaurants of his that I love are Port Said (although annoying you can’t book a reservation) and Hasalon (for special occasions and pricey).
Dallal
This restaurant is located in one of my favorite neighborhoods of Tel Aviv, Neve Tzedek, and if you’re looking for a Mediterranean restaurants with a slight hint of European cuisine this is your spot. Great brunch spot with an enclosed patio and also the business l lunch is a good bang for your buck. (They also have a delicious bakery next door). Dinner is delicious as well if you like meats and fish with good cocktails.
Ha’achim
Delicious Tel Avivian restaurant (contemporary Israeli) with lots of tapas to share. You can either sit at the bar or at a table. The fried artichokes with labane cheese, challah, and hamburgers 🤤
Timna
New fine-dining restaurant by Chef Nir Messika! He had 2 restaurants in NYC for years (one also called Timna) and then moved back to Israel right before the pandemic and opened up this restaurant which is a big hit! One of my top restaurants in the city right now.
