Mission Statement:
Communities are the cornerstone of humanity. We have been part of tribes for 100s of thousands of years and have progressed together. This feeling of the tribe and a common goal has driven human growth and accentuated the quality of life. Web3 makes this feeling of the community more strong and enables us to collaborate like never before.
OGCLUB is being built with the same motto of bringing people together interested in Web3 and beyond and allowing the magic of serendipity to happen. We won’t be amused to see startups getting formed, projects getting funded or matchmaking happening between co-founders.
We are calling upon all the original & new movers and shakers of the Indian startup ecosystem to come together and forge a tribe to be at the forefront of crypto innovation. The name is apt as the original gangsta has done it once and will do it again.
Inspired by FWB, OGCLUB will be structured as a social DAO and will be a community-driven organization. Members will buy tokens/NFTs to be part of the diaspora and avail of membership benefits.
Why DAO?
Online communities in form of Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook groups, or Discord servers are dime a dozen. They are noisy and full of lurkers. Similar to the Pareto principle these online communities have a significantly lower percentage of contributors and are skewed towards lurkers. DAOs solve this inherent problem of contribution by creating a sense of ownership among members and solving the problem of idle participants1. We envision being the most active community of Web3 builders and DAOs as a governance structure that will enable us to fulfill the vision.
