
This technical document describes the methodology used to certify the authorship, integrity, and temporal precedence of the proprietary protocols "SmartTap Color Code™️" and "The TAPIA Protocol". Addressing the inefficiencies of traditional patent registries in early-stage development, a Cryptographic Commitment Scheme is implemented using SHA-256 hashing and public blockchain anchoring (Ethereum/Polygon). This method establishes irrefutable evidence of "Prior Art" without revealing industrial secrets.
The process guarantees the integrity of the "Trade Secret" while establishing a public proof of existence:
The SHA-256 algorithm is used to generate a unique alphanumeric string (Hash) from the final PDF documents.
Any alteration, even a single bit, in the original document would result in a completely different Hash (Avalanche Effect).
This guarantees the integrity of the custodied document.
The generated Hash is included as input data payload in a transaction towards the author's address on the Ethereum Network (EVM).
The transaction is recorded in a block with an immutable date and time.
The network acts as a distributed witness, eliminating the need for a central trusted authority.
The author can demonstrate possession of the original information at any future time by presenting the PDF file. A third party can recalculate the file's Hash and compare it with the blockchain record. If they match, the proof of authorship is mathematically irrefutable.
