Compared to the artist's reputation, it showed excessive meagerness in terms of web3 planning.
Under the motto of 'Eternal Record of Blockchain', the art of outstanding artists is recorded on the online chain.
However, the project ended without becoming a community building

The project was created by the collaboration of David Lynch, a master of the film industry and considered to have opened up postmodernism in the film industry and Interpol, the final winner of the 21st century post-punk scene in New York. What happens if two artists who have already achieved successful achievements on Web2 create comprehensive art on Web3? The above project, which is interesting just to think about it, attracted a lot of attention even before its birth.
The two artists have something in common that they have achieved fame by releasing sadness and solitude through their own worldview. Interpol, which eventually solved the gloomy atmosphere centered on minor codes with its own sound, and Lynch, who secured a thick fan base with surreal and abstract images, had his first collaboration for Coachella's stage in 2011. After 10 years of experience using Lynch's original short animation film as the background of a rock band's song, the collaboration between the two artists proceeds again.
Who is David Lynch?
His works have similarities with the tendency to use the medium as a canvas medium for fantasy, a grotesque neurotic temperament, and a postmodernist director at the opposite point of modern times who is obsessed with realism and blockbusters with surreal and abstract images. David Lynch. His films are an exhibition hall of depressing and bizarre paintings and adult versions of brutal fairy tales that reveal desires and pain, humanism being tested for corruption and redemption between good and evil, and inner vanity and suffering of desperate human figures. This also eventually became a psychodrama that dissects the extremity of inflammation to sympathize with the wound and hug it, and furthermore, a "dream good that dreams of being solved" against the huge emptiness revealed at the end of the dissection itself.

Who's Interpol?
Interpol, which has grown since making a strong debut with its masterpiece "Turn on the Bright Lights" released in 2002, is a charismatic presence that led to the golden age of post-punk revival movements in the 2000s. A sharp guitar riff reminiscent of television, and a melancholy atmosphere centered on the minor codes of Echo & the Bunnymen, but it ended up as Interpol's own sound. In the case of Antics, which strengthened the worldview of its debut film, which was marred by sadness and loneliness, and Our Love to Admiralty, which was announced by moving to Major Capital, it ranked second on the UK chart and fourth on the Billboard chart, making it a top band in the UK and US. "Our Love to Admir" was produced by Rich Costey, who is also a producer of Muse, as a major record.
Interpol's [Marauder], the final winner of the post-punk scene in New York in the 21st century
While I was taking NFT classes in the kernel, I learned about David Lynch's video NFT project as a video format NFT project. I'm actually a big fan of Lynch. I even rewatched one of Lynch's signature works, Blue Velvet, to write this. As it is a very good movie, along with Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive is considered one of the best movies in many people's opinion. He is one of the greatest directors that draws messages very abstractly, so the audience's likes and dislikes are clear. It's this person's project, so I can't help but analyze it,
The problem was that I didn't have a sense of problem problem!

The above projects can be found on the Interpol Super-Rare page and on its own website. The overall aesthetics of the series give off a sense of visual representation of North Talgee in the pre-digital era. It's certainly interesting that these nostalgic works of the past are on the blockchain, a future-oriented medium.
Prior to the birth of the project, artists appreciated that through Ethereum, among the characteristics of the blockchain, these NFTs could last forever as relics of film and music history. It's given art eternal. But just as a monologue without an audience is ironically not a monologue, NFTization of art has to consider costs in various ways as well as production costs. And in order to use the cost, consideration of the audience must be preceded.
How will you use this new technology? In response to the question about, he returned the answer that he would preserve art as a digital relic forever. You can put a dot on the blockchain. However, it is a matter of another dimension to be a line through community interaction. It is worth remembering that the value beyond conservation to the point comes from the community.
NFT: After the NFT project was released, beading and purchases were made. But without continuous community activities after purchase and ownership, the answer to why open-source tools were used is ambiguous. As a result, it has to be said that it is a project that lacks justification as to why open source tools are used.
community : What community activities can happen after beading or purchasing NFT?
(1) There's no discord? The above project does not have a discord. Then, where should fans exchange their discourse on the above work?
(2) If there's no community, then? In order for NFT to be meaningful in the purchase itself, there must be a message with the author's web 3 insights.
(3) Was there any asset available for the Lynch X Interpol project? It was very fun to use the technology to create your own TV work in the fan club gallery. However, after the sale is over, the gallery seems to be closed and no longer available.

If you go to the project web page, there is a TV customization function linked to the fan club gallery. The seven TVs on the web page are works by Lynch and Interpol, and the eighth is open to users. On the eighth TV, you can draw or write on the TV with a pen. The way that you can leave your mark on Lynch and Interpol's work reminds you of a kind of parody or homage. I think it would have been nice to use this to continuously provide services that lead to various meme variations.
You can see that the above project was carried out by HIFI Labs on Tech side (Powered by HIFI Labs). The point that I was most curious about was that compared to the artist's name bell, I felt a lot of poverty in terms of planning for the Web 3 project. For that reason, I thought that the planning team had a lot of responsibility in the process.
David Lynch is a director who actively uses YouTube. He is still communicating with the public through his YouTube channel. It broadcasts a ball with numbers on it like a lottery a day, so what if we used this communication method in conjunction with NFT? We will discuss this further in the next paragraph on a clearer basis.
So, what are the top factors that Web3 artists should consider when publishing NFTs? In particular, from a directing point of view, the five criteria necessary for creators who plan narratives and worldviews are introduced below. 🙂
★ The message of the work: How to question traditional creative methods, and how to supplement them by adding newness
The problematic period of traditional painting will not end with just a backlash against tradition. I interpret this as an act of creating value that adds newness and additional selling points to the new and growing art area and market. As an example to prove this, Trevor Jones also transformed the paintings of the National Portrait Gallery in Scotland into crypto icons through the NFT.
What is the meaning of making existing general music and experimental short films into one artwork through a new platform? Through the fact that an artwork that combines music and video into one can meet the audience in a more open Internet space, I believe that new genres continue to be created in the art market. However, the planning team will be more responsible for how this new genre can be empowered to increase its market share.
☆ Design Mechanism: How Users Play with NFT
The best example would be the artist Pak. The Merge project proposes an original mechanism to bring users who have purchased NFTs to the level of collectors. The more NFTs are sold, the more scarcity of NFTs is designed. The more tokens the collector buys for his work, the less NFTs are automatically merged into his own NFT work and the less total number of NFTs issued.
☆ Creating a new relationship: How can artists and collectors be connected?
NFT artist Beverly's Human One won $29 million at Christie's auction. This work is designed to respond and change depending on your location, time, global or local events. This transforms the buyer into a collector who communicates directly with the artist. It means creating new ways of connecting buyers and artists in ways that never existed before.
☆ Community: How can this be solved through the communication method of the community?
The director can think about how to draw the fandom of the work. I think the first step in Web3 planning is to use the most interesting asset in the work to induce community members to create memes.
☆ Worldview: Does the work reflect the needs of web3 users of the worldview
The most popularly borrowed worldviews are metropolitan environments, dystopian future worlds, science fiction environments based on AI technology, and ways to describe ultra-futurist and surrealist landscapes. Of course, even this approach and the worldview will be challenged at some point. And the challenge of conventional ways will eventually create new and new values.

“*Thinking about the traditional way to enter the art market is a little bit silly. It’s a little dated because the internet is opening up the world… The tools that I have accessible to me are the internet.”
-Mad Dog Jones-
Web3 is determined by 'sharing', not 'monopoly'. This is when the concept of 'art accessible to all' is born. This confirms that Web 3 values are based on meme culture. The more memes used by the community, the more loved and replicated memes, the more accepted memes, the more valuable they are. The number of views and citations is determined by the level of awareness and frequency of use of the community members, so the more attractive the web 3 is to create the most playful memes. In fact, memes that are so simplified that even young friends can replicate and create a variety of variations show the highest propagation and viability of Web3. I think the reason why Memcoin is attracting attention in Crypto is the same. It gives communities the easiest way to create.
So when you put playful replication on top of the idea of 'everyone accessible art', the sustainability of Web3 projects could be infinite. In the future, it will be the core of the Web3 project to "plan an asset of a work that everyone can make," not "a work that no one can make." Just as Bitcoin is constantly used even after the Satoshi who created Bitcoin disappears, we wait for a plan to create something that can be continuously created repeatedly even after the author of the Web3 project disappears.
