Thoughts on experimentation TDLR:
1) Inspiration
2) Overall concepts to execute
3) Ideas for Community/Dao Functions
4) Challenges
5) Platform/Tools strengths and weakness
Ok so here we go …..
I’ve been thinking for a while now about what other musicians are, and are not doing, and what I would like to offer more insight into.. but also what music lovers might be interested in engaging with. So when I listened to the Mint podcast with SuperDao creator Yury Liftshits I started to finally connect with some ideas I could see myself putting in to action. The ideas Yury presents towards the end of the pod of how to build simple artist Daos, combined with articles I read by Bas Gasmeyer about community involvement and Maarten (Should we decentralize creativity?) really got me thinking, especially as some of my collectors (Mary, Marteen, Karma, Mark and Jade) have given me so many ideas already.
Ideas i want to execute:
Community knowledge: I want to have an open knowledge sharing approach, I believe that especially in web3 that you will be exploring the world in different ways to me and would love you to share ideas, inspiration, art, new tech, projects you rate.. anything you care about or find interesting.
Artist Dao Treasury Via Koop : 20% of all sales will go into treasury. All community members will be able to pitch project/missions for uses. Examples could be: other artists to invest in, content creation, collaborations, charities, NFT projects to buy, things you want to explore for the project that you could get payed for your time by the treasury.
Experience / insight for NFT holders and Dao Community:
Behind the scenes (artwork pitches, video commissions/story boards/edits, press release, press shots, mood boards).
Interaction / Votes - community to be able to vote on art work variations, video edits, song arrangements.
Release co-ordination? - Laying out all details of both web3 + web2 campaigns for those interested.
Music Producer tools/stems/samples.
Music: unreleased demos, mix edits, session demos, remixes, mashups.
Stream of conciseness: I want to share the art, fashion, music, film and experiences that inspire me. I’ve discovered this amazing piece of work by Jagwartwin which all though more complex than how i imagine doing this was really inspirational.
How to share inspiration in a creative way
How to share gated content in a way that allows for interaction with community
How to hold votes within community
Incentivising and validating contributions and engagement
How to share updates
How to engage with community without being an inconvenience
How to streamline all ideas and present in creative way that reflects me and is engaging - inspiring inquisitiveness
How to contain all these ideas in one place!
Koop: Treasury, memberships, (no social functions….. yet) TEST
Discord: Interaction, conversation, ask me anything, personal, music share, community, (information gets lost, presentation of information is linear and non creative, Discord fatigue, do collectors want another discord?) TEST

Tell.ie: Gated content, creative layout (no community / no social element, no dao connectivity) - TEST: Community Members, TEST 2: upper tier members/behind the scenes
Twitter DMs - Best way to connect directly (information is linear, twitter fatigue, becoming an annoyance/spammy, only chat style function)
For a while I’ve wanted to find ways to bring the audience behind the scenes into my creative world so they can delve further into what inspires me, my creative process and the ins and outs of building an artist career. Im still searching for the perfect way to combine all the ideas i have, and one day would I love to build a platform or website to do this in a more creative way, but for now i’m going to use the tools i have available! I have to give a shout to koop who are working really hard to adapt and build something that is unique to the artist.
