My first 2 decades of life were filled with countless negative self-talk. By the 2nd decade, I realised that my thoughts and perspectives were filled with lies that have hindered me from enjoying life and making any good progress. Early into the 3rd decade, as I came to know Jesus Christ, the One who has saved my life and my wrecked mentality for umpteenth times, I began to experience the gradual fading away of those talks and lies. Life surrendered, burdens and worries lifted, fears dissipated, striving ceased, mind renewed, peace and strength restored, faith built... slowly but surely. It was all too real for taking this step of belief towards One whom many might think was not real. After surviving 2 major surgeries and many further adversities, He has never been more real to me. Knowing Jesus has been one of my true successes in life, contrary to the common definitions of success.

I'd like to share with you my journey and what God says in many of our daily self-talk, lies, questions, doubts, issues and many more. Each post is also a reminder for myself — of what I need to hear lest I forget. Through the years, His Word has brought me peace, hope, comfort, relief and a renewed way of thinking and doing, in this broken and fallen world.
