After several tests, the Metaverse creation platform has chosen NVIDIA CloudXR for its ease and reliability.

The Metaverse is changing the future of work. Thus, virtual environment creation is becoming a must-have tool for recruitment, employee training, and remote collaboration sessions, among various workplace purposes. Yet, the required skills and budget have been constant restraints… until StellarX.

StellarX, powered by OVA, is a Metaverse creation software that requires no coding knowledge. The AI-powered 3D authoring solution, available on desktop and XR, enables non-programmers to build immersive workplace scenarios through simple drag-and-drop creation.

Soon to be released on the Oculus Store, and currently available on Steam/Steam XR*****, StellarX has chosen NVIDIA CloudXR for wireless streaming. This lets business teams across various industries continue to create, collaborate, and interact in the Metaverse, but now, in a tetherless mode.

Wireless freedom fits like a glove for immersive training that requires constant and abrupt movements. For instance, after developing high-fidelity XR simulations for Quebec City’s police officers, paramedics, and firefighter units, we realized a tetherless mode would enhance these types of training sessions. So after testing different XR streaming solutions, we have decided to use CloudXR as our streamer of choice,” explains Harold Dumur, StellarX’s CEO.

Wireless streaming testing came during the pandemic, when partners LCI LX developed an XR-education experience for ENCQOR 5G, in collaboration with StellarX. The context was fashion history, where students could learn by interacting with props inside a 3D museum. With the NVIDIA CloudXR SDK, the StellarX experience was streamed over the 5G network, thanks to powerful NVIDIA RTX GPUs.

StellarX will definitely benefit from additional CloudXR support capabilities, such as delivering high-end XR experiences on headsets, reducing local hardware requirements, and preserving a reliable network latency.

StellarX is democratizing Metaverse creation, allowing user-generated content to revolutionize entire industries. Today, we have chosen CloudXR for its ease and reliability. And for tomorrow, we will expand into the XR universe alongside NVIDIA’s solutions,” asserts Dumur.

*****Currently on Steam/Steam XR, among StellarX’s minimum requirements is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 desktop (6GB) graphic card. Also available on desktop, StellarX supports a vast range of XR headsets, such as all Oculus models and HTC Vives. Click here for free download.
