I am new in Web3. I try to understand the brave new world of all things crypto, blockchain, NFTs and so on.
Although not in any disciplined way, I keep reading a lot. Mostly random reading. But this weekend morning, I came across the following site on web2’s Substack.
For some reason, I am instantly inspired to create something new. Something I’ve been wanting to do since long, but always procrastinated, as it is my second nature - procrastinating.
This writer, lcamtuf, maintains his own webpage which lists all things he writes about. The page design is a no-nonsense style, pure minimalistic and shows what is needed, and nothing else. But the list is inspiring, because it appears, to my eye, a 3 dimensional space.
What I mean by this is that the writer brings both the depth and width of his knowledge and experience into his writing style. The writer covers subjects horizontally, as well as vertically.
The topics the writer chooses are sometimes nerdy, sometimes witty, but very enjoyable for a reader who is bored with jargon and ridiculously unnecessary sarcasm in writing.
The topics vary a lot and include simply about writing or the complicated physics, or the trendy information security or about nerdy photography. It feels the experience of this writer is felt throughout, but surely more interested, curios and energetic than me.
I read one of the articles and felt I should do something about my long time wish for beginning, and most importantly, continuing to write and publish. I started this journey multiple times elsewhere before -- like on Substack, or on Medium, or fully maintained by me on Github (well… used to be ;-).
And when I have been recently dwelling a lot into this world of crypto and NFTs, what is a better place to restart this endeavor, other than the web3 platform, especially Mirror.xyz.
Here I am. Now.
