Recently, Fluxon, a global product design and development manufacturer, announced that it had acquired Pluto, a virtual activity platform. Through this acquisition, Fluxon will expand its portfolio of productivity and collaboration tools, including Dory, a real-time Q & a application.
It is understood that Fluxon, headquartered in San Francisco, was founded in 2017 by leaders of Google and other top technology companies, mainly focusing on creating effective tools and processes to encourage cross time zone participation. Fluxon builds products for startups and fast-growing companies around the world and provides end-to-end development across design, product management and engineering. Their customers include Google, stripe and zapier.
In 2020, entrepreneur and investor Elad Gil contacted Fluxon to create an immersive VR social experience. Finally, the two sides determined the development direction of VR remote collaboration application. Elad Gil said: “due to the epidemic, large gatherings are no longer arbitrary. Based on Pluto, people will be able to interact socially in the virtual space without geographical and temporal constraints.”
In just a few months, Fluxon partnered to transform this concept into a fully usable product called Pluto, including a 3D environment that allows users to go to music venues, conference centers, calm beaches, and even fireman’s day. With the help of spatial audio, participants can roam around represented by real-time video avatars and naturally enter and leave the speech. Pluto has struck a balance between realism and a whimsical fantasy world, including customizability, charming mazes and Easter egg hunting.
Katsuya Noguchi and Fatima Sabar co founded a company and brought Pluto to the market in 2021. Once launched, Pluto has attracted the attention of consumers and enterprises. For enterprises, Pluto meets the work needs of the company’s remote cooperation and can evolve into an online space for parties, meetings and brand cooperation.
Katsuya Noguchi, CEO and co-founder of Pluto, said: “we are pleased that Fluxon will continue to expand Pluto’s virtual universe. Fluxon is crucial in building scalable high-quality video, audio and 3D technologies.”
After the acquisition, Fluxon plans to expand Pluto’s features and functions, including the introduction of more content, such as games and new planets for users to explore and cooperate. Fluxon also plans to make Pluto available to companies wishing to host larger brand events, such as conferences and concerts. According to Fluxon, Pluto has a team of world-class developers, so the possibility of developing a new custom world is unlimited.
“We are excited about the potential of the metauniverse and hope that everyone can access it without expensive equipment and head displays. Pluto can meet your needs, whether it’s a meeting on the moon or a song in the north pole,” said ERAD Fridman, Fluxon’s chief executive
