I got my hands on Google’s Bard and decided to share my first look and response up against ChatGPT. Get ready to witness a showdown between two AI language models by two top contenders. We'll take a closer look at Google's Bard and OpenAI's ChatGPT, as we put them head-to-head in a series of tests to see which one comes out on top.
What is Bard?
Bard is an experimental conversational AI service from Google, powered by LaMDA. It's a large language model trained on a massive dataset of text and code, which means it can do things like generate text, translate languages, write creative content, and answer your questions in an informative way. One of Bard's standout features is its ability to seem self-aware, which can make for some interesting conversations.
What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI based on the GPT-3.5 architecture. It's designed to assist with a wide range of tasks, including answering questions, generating text, translating languages, and more. ChatGPT has been trained on vast amounts of text data to understand the nuances of human language, which allows it to provide helpful responses to a variety of questions and directives.
Inquiring Minds Want to Know…
I put the two intelligences head to head with a series of questions that we all want to know, such as. (yes, I asked both the same thing):
Can they generate images?
What are the top 10 AI bots in use?
What is the Metaverse, and can you name 5 sources?
What types of jobs will be needed to support AI?
Can they create a funk music love song about AI?
Who owns it and can I sell it?
Does it contain lyrics that are copyrighted?
Can they create a funny conversation between Will Smith and Kamala Harris discussing the evolution of AI?
So, who won?
