Aspiration

I’m just a 22-year-old recent law and finance graduate currently working at big law in Spain with a long-standing (however “long” it can be at my age) passion for the intersection between finance, law and technology who found crypto in late 2017 and has been more and more intrigued by it since then. After graduating I’ve followed the natural path for someone with high grades and a top law internship during its third year (yeap, you guessed it, peak CoVid-19 so it took place online and it sucked pretty bad), a corporate law position at an international law firm (I’d love to give more details but Madrid’s circles are rather small and…I’’m sure you’ll understand). My mid-term goal (whatever mid-term means) is to transition out of the syndicated loans, refinancing, security package and overall big law firm solving big corp TradFi stuff to a much more independent DeFi oriented role either through a DAO, a startup or as a creator/freelancer.

My current position doesn’t allow for a huge amount of free time, but I’m still managing (or trying to manage anyway) with staying up to date with the crypto sphere in terms of notable projects, regulation and the like. My goal with the upcoming posts (don’t give me much heat, I’m figuring the platform and everything else on the go) is to: 1) share my ideas and views regarding the crypto sphere and financial markets as a whole, both from a legal perspective (sometimes also financial/practical), 2) keep myself accountable on what I’m learning as time goes by, and 3) try to find a way into my passion so I may potentially move to it full time while still being able to afford a roof over my head and a few beers here and there. Through this post (assuming I don’t mess up completely) I’ll be setting up an ongoing auction/fund or whatever you call it with a cap of 50.000$. My thinking here is that if I’m able to get a community of people to like the info enough to reach said number within one year I’ll be able to move into the magic internet money jobs without having to sell online trading courses for 9.99$ (might be the gateway for 2023 if this doesn't work out hahaha). Anyway, I’m not expecting anyone to fund anything; I’m doing this because I like the space, the people and, more importantly, the whole philosophy behind this social movement.

The blog (if that is what it turns out to be) will hold entries on topics I find interesting, legal commentary on crypto bills and all sorts of quirky financial shit I selfishly deem relevant (dream is to be the Messari quality, hope it isn’t unattainable). Some, maybe a majority, of the entries will be in Spanish, but I’ll mix around with English and whatever I feel like. Given where I’m located, sometimes topics may be a bit local but I’ll try to make it interesting for the two or three weirdos (if any) who read this. I feel I may be onto something with this blog (I don’t know of any cool, down to earth legal crypto commentary space/blog/chat (can we chat? shit I’m new) so…). Let’s give it a try. Like, subscribe or do whatever you do on this platform.
