November 26, 2022. Probably you are wondering why we titled this blog as it is. Although there was not much going on for this week. Except for rumors of rug pulls again which up to now we do not know which projects. So, where did we get this question anyway?
We awoke so early in the morning. This was around three o’clock and we awoke because of an upset stomach. Yes, we are still human after all. Maybe something we ate or drank during lunch yesterday with our meeting with our new workmates and boss. We stumbled upon some YouTube videos that caught our attention. This may not be blockchain related but more of the spiritual side of us. We love to listen to some theological discussions and what caught our attention is one of the panelists paraphrasing what he said, “it boils to the reason why we do these things. I do this because I would like to have a sustainable income to be the provider for my family, to have time for my wife and growing kids and to have peace while talking to different people with different traditions of faith”
Somehow, it gave the other panelist, who was the host of the channel, to be straightforward and told that he wanted to convert the Protestant guest into Catholicism. End of the story they did not have any debate but a healthy intellectual volley of opinions on different topics.
So, why do we do this blog?
We would not be monetized for these blogs so for sure it is not for the money. Although we need the finances to live and provide even our basic needs. Unless, we create a way for people to donate to us so the funds could be used for us to create more valuable content.
But, for now, probably it is our passion to grow into two things:
Writing: We have been writing since grade school. But to be intentional, writing something online started when we decided to go full-time as a missionary back in 2017. We went to different remote places in the country and even abroad thrice in four countries for short-term missions. We wrote all about our escapades and even our daily encounters with different people at the mall, street, or wherever we were. Now, we would like to grow knowing about blockchain technology.
Web3: Since we started with Axie Infinity and got the job at BitPinas for nine months, we just wanted to continue this passion to grow deeper. We may not be so technical about it but for sure we understood a thing or two about how it works. We are just praying to be taught by the best minds out there and probably in the future we could also create our own DEX and token to create something new and useful for all. But yeah we are not as bright as Albert Einstein to create another theory in Physics.
Some may ask, while getting deeper into this technology be a contrast to what we theologically believe in. It would not be. This blockchain technology is only a transition to another level of how people may live in the future. We are just beginning to get our picks and hitting on the slope here but have not really got into the core of the mountain. There are more than what blockchain developers can do that someday may be beneficial for mankind. God is a creator, and man was created in His image. Therefore, we have this inherent nature to create new innovations.
Sometimes, we may ask, is it because we wanted to be famous? Honestly, fame may have come into thoughts but it may be rooted to the deeper longing to be affirmed and valued. To be relevant, in other words but to have all the bright and glimmering limelight can be very tempting to have. Because fame requires a lot of accountability and responsibility on what we say and what we do. We only desired to be one of those voices that would speak about the technology and be truthful to those who read and hear whenever we are invited to speak.
Life is short and probably these blogs can just be my legacy for those who will be the next generation users and builders of Web3. When we die, I pray and hope we could leave this earth doing something beneficial and good for those within our circle.
To some it all up, we just want to grow in skill, knowledge and as a person. To leave behind something that could probably be helpful to someone.
How about you, why do you do the things you do?
