MARKETS - Ethereum’s upcoming Merge just got a bit spicier.
On a TikTok livestream earlier today, Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson let slip his plan for the troubled blockchain to join ETH’s September Merge.
“A merger is the joining of two separate corporations or entities,” Hoskinson read aloud from an old business textbook.
“Makes you think, huh?” Hoskinson went on, before pausing for a few seconds to giggle.
Once the self-indulgence had ended, Hoskinson took a deep swig of scotch and said the words no one had been waiting to hear:
“Cardano will be Merging with Ethereum next month,” he slurred.
ETH developers were all available for comment and unanimously disparaged the idea as the “delusions of a drunk maniac.”
Before passing out on stream a few hours later, Hoskinson was heard to mutter: “If they don’t Merge with us? Well, I’ll just have to read the next chapter in this book, ‘Acquisitions’.”
ADA is up over 300% on the day. ETH is down bad.
