Would you be "Beaner"? - We proudly released ThirdBeansClassic

Hello, We’re ThirdBeans.

Today, I'd like to write about ThirdBeansClassic, a collection of generative NFTs we've just released, its background, aims, and what we'd like to achieve.

What is ThirdBeans?

First of all, I'd like to introduce myself briefly: ThirdBeans is (for the moment) a Japanese project, working on mostly by oneself. We’re ThirdBeans want to do the following things.

Create "CoffeeTime" that can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of birthplace, location, or environment.

Since we have released NFT, of course we want to do NFT and Web3, but that is just a means to achieve our vision. Everything we do is for the sake of CoffeeTime.

What is CoffeeTime?

“CoffeeTime" simply means a time to enjoy coffee.

You might be thinking, "Why don't you just buy beans and sell them, or there are so many coffee shops in the world?”

What we think "CoffeeTime" is...

  • CoffeeTime" is not only the act of drinking coffee, but also the environment and the worldview that surrounds it.

  • We are pursuing a way of being that is both online and offline.

In other words, the only and ultimate goal is to enjoy drinking good coffee, but in order to enjoy drinking good coffee, I think it is necessary to define the surrounding elements and even the way to interact with coffee and individuals.

NFT is not an objective, but just the first step of the "peripheral elements".

So, what is "ThirdBeansClassic"?

This is the story of "ThirdBeansClassic", a generative NFT collection I released the other day. Hereafter, I describe it as TBC.

TBC is the first step to realize "CoffeeTime" as described above, and it is a collection close to a prototype. As the name suggests, there are a total of 100 kinds of "Beans" of various patterns, and each of them has differences in color and with or without glass.

Why should we release generativeNFT?

We don't need to tell you that in the past year, NFT and its related art, games, etc. have seen a tremendous rise in popularity around the world. It's more of a speculation aspect, and we don't expect TBC to be in that kind of context. Perhaps something happens to let TBC go to high price, but we don't think we'll be able to raise funds.

The most important thing we want to do at TBC is to create a way to use NFT as a "passport".

As I mentioned above, "CoffeeTime" is a concept that encompasses not only coffee itself, but also the environment surrounding it and the way people interact with it, and I think that TBC should be the "passport" that passes through the entrance. I'm wondering if it would be possible for everyone who wants to enjoy CoffeeTime to have their favorite bean as a passport, so that they can experience the value that can only be accessed through CoffeeTime, and be a chance to interact with people who share the same thoughts... I'd like to see if it's possible. This is just a prototype.

Future development

You may think that there will be some development in the future, since it is called a prototype. But I have not done so much FIX yet, though I imagine so.

There are three things that we have clearly decided.

Upgrading TBC

TBC is just a prototype, so it's very simple to make.I'm planning to make an upgraded NFT collection after seeing how the TBC100 and its community grows.

The upgraded NFT will work with various applications.

I am planning to use the upgraded NFT collection to develop "CoffeeTime" in earnest.

  • Development of "CoffeeTime" application that only NFT holders can use

  • Selling goods and holding events through the "CoffeeTime" application

  • Issuance of governor tokens → Creation of a system that allows holders to decide how "CoffeeTime" should be used.

  • And much more!

TBC holders are the "Genesis 100".

If TBC is going to be upgraded, does that mean that TBC is going to cease to exist? That's not true.

Needless to say, ThirdBeans has no name recognition or brand. We just have NFT and an idea, but we are thinking of developing it in such a way that the first holders who share the idea will naturally have some incentives and benefits.

We can think of something like, for example, to let TBC holders apply whitelist of upgrated NFT, but we're also thinking of a system that allows people to be involved in the creation of CoffeeTime in some way. That's why we are the "Genesis 100".

Why don't you join us in creating CoffeeTime?

I've started TBC Mint the other day, 0.01matic a piece, but as expected, I haven't sold a single piece yet lol. Would you join TBC, making CoffeeTime community?

I'm going to start a discord after I sell 100.
