As an electrolytic aluminum enterprise that must operate 24 hours a day, since April 14, Chinalco Qinghai Branch has started the second one thousand people stationed in the plant to ensure production since October 2021.

This is a difficult battle. We should not only “fight” with the invisible virus, but also ensure the food and sleep of thousands of people, but also ensure the operation of the core posts of the enterprise. The beds of more than 380 people in the alloying unit should be placed overnight. At 8 pm, the office building of the aluminum strip company was crowded with people who didn’t come home from work. Under the leadership of the person in charge of the unit, clean the idle office building of the original foundry, tidy up the warehouse and connect electricity and water to prepare for the placement of beds; At the garden terrace dozens of kilometers away, another person in charge took six production backbone to transfer the bedding that was impassable due to road control in the cold wind of sleet. At 3 a.m., more than 380 people’s bedding were distributed in place.

From work on the 14th to noon on the 15th, all personnel hardly closed their eyes, could not sleep and could not stop production. Electrolytic plant, carbon plant, power plant, work clothes company and other key production units sorted out the living materials stationed in the plant for the first time overnight, reissued new bedding to the posts with gaps, and resettled the employees left behind in the plant.

Anti epidemic and production guarantee is not only a material confrontation, but also a spiritual competition.

On April 14, after receiving the notice of static management of the whole company, Xiao Liao of the third production department immediately called his mother-in-law to explain the situation and asked the old man to take care of his 12-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son. Xiao Hu, the lover who used to rest at home after the night shift, also rushed back to the factory by car and was ready to fill the vacancy at any time. The factory under static management needs smooth operation. Traffic control brings great pressure on procurement and sales. The personnel of the marketing and procurement department always pay attention to the information of all parties, sort out the inventory of raw materials and auxiliary materials, and form a daily report system; On the 14th, the first night of static management, the procurement personnel went to the highway intersection twice without sleep, verified the vehicle control on site, prepared for the transportation of raw materials and ensured the continuous supply of raw materials; The safety and environmental protection center set up temporary tents overnight, communicated with the epidemic prevention and Control Office of Datong county again and again, and made all preparations for nucleic acid detection and sampling; Haiyuan aluminum has stepped up the purchase and storage of food materials to ensure sufficient supply of meals during its stay in the factory… All units have organized human, material and financial resources in a rigorous and meticulous manner, which has greatly improved their work efficiency.
