Part 1 of a Series: Understanding Token Demand (Utility)
If you’re just a speculator chasing hype, you might not care about what I’m about to say.
But if you're a long-term trader or investor who wants to protect your capital and invest in real value, this article is for you.
Before you invest in any token, ask yourself a few simple but powerful questions:
Why do I want to buy this token?
Why are others buying it?
Does this token provide real utility?
Is it solving a real problem?
Is it part of the project’s core usage, or just a side feature?
Ask yourself: What is this token used for? The more “yes” answers, the stronger the demand.
Use Case Yes / No
🔸 Used to pay fees on the platform? ✅ / ❌
🔸 Required for staking or earning rewards? ✅ / ❌
🔸 Can it be used as collateral? ✅ / ❌
🔸 Needed for access to features or services? ✅ / ❌
🔸 Gives governance or voting rights? ✅ / ❌
Demand = Utility
The more the token is needed, the more people will buy and hold it.
Not all tokens are created equal.
Some are deeply connected to the project’s real use. Others are optional or, even worse, unnecessary.
If you care about long-term value, utility is your first clue.
This is Part 1 of a series where I’ll explain the 5 most important areas to analyse in tokenomics.
Next up: Supply — how to spot inflation, unlock risks, and insider dumping.
