Some people
take uncharted paths, carve
new routes for others to follow, true
leaders inspiring us
to be great.
Last week we spent some time in the National Portrait Gallery in London. It is actually a lovely way to talk about history, by focusing on the people who created it. And then there are also the portraits of those who inspire. From Nelson Mandela and Tim Berners-Lee, to Jane Goodall and Cliff the outreach worker. Yes, you don't have to be famous or rich to make actual impact on people's lives. To actually make a difference. To inspire others to do great things. I had never heard of Cliff before, but seeing his portrait and reading his story, well, that was very inspiring. We need more people to be like Cliff.
Later this week, I posted an AI generated portrait of me as a sad chimp on my social feed, to honour the passing of Jane Goodall. She died at the respectable age of 91, still fighting for a better planet. She, too, is an inspiration. Someone you can only look up to. We need more people like Jane Goodall. The world would be a better place for it.
Who do you think is an inspirational person who deserves to have their portrait in an international portrait gallery?

This was a beautiful short video about Jane Goodall's passing. I hope it inspires you.
