a tree's beauty hides
in the stories she witnessed
and stores in her rings
What is beauty? Is it that what is visible at the surface, or is it that what lies within. I think it's an important question to ask. Of course I like the visually appealing, but when what's within is empty or not pleasing, what is on the outside does not please me.
