Could you help us say yes to one woman?

Three women trusted us with deeply personal wishes. This August, we hope our community can help make them possible.

A weekend with her husband. A few days with her grandchildren. An air fryer, a bed rail and some books.

Things many of us could book, buy or add to a cart without thinking too much. But cancer has made even these ordinary things difficult to reach.

So, on this first day of August, I’m asking you to help us say yes to one of these women.

A weekend of peace and freedom

Cancer has filled too many of her days with fear, appointments and uncertainty. What she is asking for now is one quiet weekend with her husband, close to nature, where they can breathe, be together and make a memory that does not belong to cancer. Your donation can help give them that time.

“Even the word cancer feels unimaginable to me. I still ask, ‘Why me?’ More than anything, I miss nature and the feeling of freedom.”

Lasting memories with her grandchildren

Living with stage IV cancer has made every moment with her grandchildren feel even more precious. She is asking for a few days away with her twin grandchildren—to laugh, explore somewhere new and create memories they can hold onto long after the trip is over. Your donation can help give this family time together that cancer does not get to define.

“I want to create lasting memories with my grandchildren. A few days spent in new places would make us all forget, even if just for a while, the pressure of doctors, hospitals and tests.”

A safer, easier life at home

Bone metastases have made movement painful and ordinary chores difficult. A bed rail could help her rise safely. An air fryer and cordless vacuum could save energy she no longer has to spare. Books would keep her company on the days her body asks her to stay still.

“Since I was diagnosed with metastatic cancer two years ago, I have wanted an air fryer. I was told it could help me cook in a cleaner, healthier way, but because of the cost, I have not been able to buy one.”

I know there are many causes asking for your attention. Thank you for stopping here long enough to see these women—not as diagnoses, but as people who still miss places, make plans, love their families and hope for ordinary good days.

Please choose the story that stays with you and give what feels possible today. If donating is not possible, sharing this post may be the reason it reaches someone who can.

From our hearts to yours: thank you.
