Background and Purpose
Technology has evolved to the point where it creates more issues on a larger scale than it solves. In addition to facilitating more catastrophic conflicts, dwindling global biodiversity, and the existential danger of climate change, it also supports other negative outcomes.
Overall, the misuse of science and technology has enabled short-sighted commercial and political objectives to put our very survival in danger. According to this concept, technology may regain its position as a catalyst for human growth by constructing the Universal Biological Interaction System, also known as the UBIS, a decentralized system that allows broad human decision-making.
Overarching Goals
The purpose of UBIS transcends the ramifications of a sole project, but seeks to explore essential issues for the entire society:
Examine the variables that are required to sustain human civilization in an open, dispersed system of collaborative decision-making.
Explore the viability of distributed self-governance.
Enact a new technological equilibrium that reaffirms humanity's long-term position in the natural world.
Concrete Objectives
To achieve these overarching goals, we have the concrete objectives to:
Create a self-governance system in the form of a Decentralized Autonomous Organization, or DAO, to govern itself.
Develop or acquire assets and skills to support all of the research goals.
Establish System 0, the world's first UBIS city.
Concept
DAOs enable individuals from all over the globe to engage in a shared contract specifying their contributions toward a common purpose, regardless of where they live. UBIS proposes to create shared ownership and control of real-world assets via the construction of a limited liability company, or LLC, that will serve as the DAO's legal representative in the marketplace.
Furthermore, the core team and founding citizens will work together to create the first version of the UBIS DAO. Once UBIS has achieved self-sufficiency, citizenship will be given to members of the general public who express an interest. The second phase of the UBIS DAO takes the project even farther into the real world, utilizing its LLC's ownership and contractual rights toward developing a city wholly controlled by the shared mechanism represented by the DAO as opposed to the virtual world.
Work Plan
The initial phase of UBIS will be organized into five departments:

Additional departments will be added as required. Departments will be incorporated into the first UBIS city to ensure the delivery of basic municipal services and represent the city in its relations with other governmental bodies.
Voting
UBIS inhabitants will vote on whether or not to add real-world assets that are essential to meet the project's aim of achieving the balance between human participants and the natural environment in which they live and technology that helps that purpose. Property controlled by UBIS may be widely spread during its first phase, but it will be geographically concentrated throughout the city-building phase.
Support
Nonetheless, any DAO is untested, and its future prospects are uncertain in its early stages. Over time, it develops its own personality, as well as its own history and collective memory; in other words, it starts to behave more and more like a self-sustaining organism. Hence, the project will be supported by the main UBIS team until it reaches this self-sustaining stage.
Representation
At the same time, citizens of the UBIS will be able to pick their own type of representation, enabling each citizen to engage in the greater effort in the most appropriate ways.
Widespread Adoption
Wyoming just became the first state in the United States to recognize DAOs as legal entities capable of founding limited liability companies (LLCs). This enables UBIS to establish a legal company with complete representation in the real world and the capacity to own assets and engage in transactions with other parties.
We anticipate that this option will be extended to a large number of countries around the globe in the near future.
Feel free to form or join a project team to work on proposals or bounties. The council has nothing different from a citizen except DAO structure functionality.
Community
Upon joining the UBIS DAO, citizens take the oath:
I pledge to make sensible proposals and cast wise votes, as well as to utilize my citizenship to advance the well-being of mankind and the progress of UBIS, among other things. I further pledge to collaborate and communicate toward our common purpose, putting aside any variations in culture or nationality that may exist among inhabitants of the UBIS.
