Delegating with Vault Staking on Canto

Introduction

So you’ve heard about Canto, an Evmos-fork blockchain that acts as an intermediary between EVM networks such as Ethereum, and Polygon, and the Cosmos ecosystem, home of Osmosis, Akash, Arable, and many more!

Sounds like a potentially excellent investment opportunity, no?

Why Delegate to Vault Staking on Canto?

Canto’s ecosystem is exceptionally fast-growing, with its Total Value Locked (TVL) growing by over 300% between January and February 2023. For the last month, Canto has been in the top 10 for daily on-chain volume (#7 at time of writing), and has an extremely healthy Market Cap:TVL ratio of 1.02. Delegations currently (Feb 27th 2023) earn 14.53% APR on any amount staked.

Vault Staking offers 100% protected Delegations, which means that if for whatever reason the Validator is slashed (penalized for downtime/failure to perform Validator duties), delegator funds are refunded in full. Vault Staking is an experienced and professional group with years of experience running Validators with extraordinarily high up-times on many other chains!

Where to Buy $CANTO

$CANTO is available on a handful of markets; a couple mainstream CEXs (Centralized Exchanges) and other common tokens such as $USDC and $ETH can be bridged from popular EVM networks like Ethereum, Polygon and BNB.

Sending Tokens Via Synapse Protocol

  • Before beginning, ensure you add the CANTO Network to your wallet:

  • Go to Synapse Protocol and connect your wallet

  • Choose your Origin Chain where you would like to bridge funds from. Cheapest chains are Polygon, BNB and AVAX, bridging from Ethereum, Arbitrum and Optimism will be more expensive:

  • Choose Canto as your Destination Chain:

  • If it’s your first time sending, you will be asked to Approve the token first. This will cost one transaction’s worth of gas on your Origin chain:

  • Once confirmed, click “Bridge your funds” and accept the transaction. Note that Synapse will also convert a small portion of your funds into 1 $CANTO so you have gas on the Destination Chain:

  • Once initiated, the Bridge Watcher will begin a countdown displaying how long until your Bridge is complete (should take 8-10 minutes on most networks):

  • Once completed, navigate to Slingshot DEX, and select USDC -> CANTO as your swap option:

  • You can max out your USDC to CANTO swap, as this will just be Delegated to the Validator. Click “Review Swap”. It will ask you to “Unlock” (Approve) the token for trading/swapping. Confirm this transaction:
