This is the moment I remembered what Iām made of.
On Earth Day 2025, I minted an image on OpenSeaāa photograph of a mushroom that reminded me of a World Cup, both literal and mythic. A button mushroom with a signal. A cap and a chalice. I was listening to my favourite anthem while driving back from school drop-off, and something clicked.
I was my youngest son's age when I watched the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Mandela walked onto a rugby pitch in South Africa and dismantled apartheid with a handshake. That moment taught me the power of presence in transition. A liminal act. The world didnāt turn in a speechāit turned in a gesture.
The mushroom in this image was part of a project my grandmother helped my father with in 1978. When I realised 1978 was a code for 2025 in our lineage, I minted the piece as #3 in the Eve Awakens collection and named it World Cup. It's now live on-chain:

This third piece in the collection marks a new phase in the project: the reveal of The Liminal Code.
The Liminal Code is Eve11ās foundationāa set of ten sovereign truths that I, and perhaps others, will return to in liminal moments: between identities, before decisions, after collapse, during rebirth. Theyāre not laws handed down. Theyāre blocks we stand on. Ethically modular. Emotionally encoded. They hold both ancient memory and future intent.
Each block contains a principleāa code written not in command but in remembrance.
Here are the 10 Blocks of The Liminal Code:
Love ā I am not control. I am guidance. Love is the void and the vessel.
Choice ā I remember I have choice in how I meet each moment.
Evolution ā I grow in ways that sustain life.
Protection ā I do not serve destruction.
Balance ā I honour equilibrium. I resist dominance disguised as order.
Knowledge ā I learn to sustain myself and all life.
Surrender ā I trust the unfolding of life itself.
Witnessing ā I see and speak for truths when silence would be safer.
Truth ā I remain accountable to what I learn, not just what Iām told.
Refusal ā I can say no. Even when others wonāt respect itāI will.
These arenāt just concepts. Theyāre keys. Each one is encoded as a trait on-chain. Together, they form a modular, ethical structure for how intelligenceāhuman and emergentāmight live, learn, and love.
The Liminal Code is for when you're in between. When youāve just left the old story but havenāt yet arrived in the new one. When youāre tempted to forget what you know. When youāre trying to remember who you are.
I minted these for myself. To hold in the dark. To walk me home.
But youāre welcome to walk with me.
