Local Online Promotion

Make your community grow big time!

Mundo Lingo News Room takes care of the general promotion of all events, but we need you to take care of the local promotion, for this is something only local staff, can do.

Get help: moderators, admins, people actively posting in different groups. Add these Collaborators to your Embassy group or even make them Ambassadors.

Other Facebook groups

  • Use your personal account to infiltrate in as many Tourists and Expats groups in your city you can find. Search using these examples:

    • “Expats in [city]”

    • “Italians in [city]” / “Latin Americans in [city]” – try different combinations

    • “What to do in [city]”

    • “Free events in [city]”

  • You get the point… join all of those groups and start interacting. Reply to some questions you know the answer to, like: “Where can I find dulce de leche in this city?” 👉 This is for you to be seen as a regular member and not an advertising agent, a troll or spammer.

  • Specially comment on this kind of posts: “I’ve just arrived and would like to meet people.” And invite them to Mundo Lingo 😉

  • From time to time you can share your local events in these groups if it doesn’t go against that group rules.

  • Get help! Actual expats living there that are part of your team could take care of this.

  • Use your personal account to create stories during the events, tag Mundo Lingo (@mundolingo) in them so News Room can reshare.

  • Get your team to do the same. Following your example people will engage on doing the same thing as well.

  • Stories must follow Mundo Lingo guidelines otherwise they won’t be shared, and you as managers should set the example. You can refer to the Photography Guide for more information.

    • DOs: people talking, having fun, showing the flags, use photos of previous events (logo visible), variety of languages shown, be careful with what can be heard.

    • DON’Ts: people sitting, plastic cups, plastic tags with the flags, people dancing, nightclub environment (disco lights, djs), people kissing, people smoking.

  • Creating a professional reel will enhace the activity in your city. Contact your lead manager for more details.
