Withdrawal ETH from HyperEVM: Two Working Methods

post image

I recently ran into an unexpected challenge while trying to withdraw ETH from HyperEVM. Unlike most chains, the route back wasn’t obvious — and to my surprise, HyBridge, which I had used to deposit ETH(OP) → HYPE, didn’t support withdrawal flows. Popular options like Relay and other bridges didn’t work either.

After some trial and error, I found two methods that actually work — and I want to share them in case you’re also stuck with assets on HyperEVM.

Method 1: The Long Way — But It Works

This path requires a few extra steps but gets the job done:

1. Swap HYPE for uETH

Go to Hyperswap and trade your HYPE tokens for uETH.

⚠️ Important: Don’t swap all your HYPE — keep a small amount to cover gas fees on HyperEVM. This is a common pitfall that can leave you stuck.

2. Transfer uETH to Hyperliquid Spot Wallet

  • Open Hyperliquid

  • Go to the Balances tab

  • Select “Transfer to/from EVM” and move your ETH into the spot wallet.

3. Sell ETH for USDC

Once the ETH is in your spot wallet, perform a spot trade to sell it for USDC.

4. Withdraw to Your Preferred Chain

Still under the Balances tab:

  • Click “Transfer to Spot/Perps” for the USDC

  • Then press “Withdraw” You’ll be able to withdraw to chains like Arbitrum, Solana, or Ethereum.

Method 2: The Easier Alternative

After doing all that, I found a much simpler method using Stargate. Here’s how:

1. Swap HYPE for USDe

Go back to Hyperswap and this time, swap HYPE → USDe.

2. Bridge USDe to Arbitrum with Stargate

Use this Stargate bridge link: 🔗 Stargate Bridge

Choose Hyperliquid as the source and Arbitrum as the destination. That’s it — you're done.

Final Thoughts

HyperEVM is a young ecosystem, and while it has great potential, the infrastructure around bridging and liquidity is still evolving. If you find yourself stuck, don’t panic — and always test with small amounts first.

Hope this saves someone else the time and confusion I went through.
