The Mission: I am building a life-changing trajectory from scratch. My goal is simple, yet ambitious: to transition from zero-experience to becoming a researcher in Microbiology, utilizing Data Science as the foundation of my work. This is my 5-year migration and education protocol.
Why this protocol exists: In the modern scientific landscape, biological research is inseparable from data analysis. I’ve realized that to contribute to the field, I need to be fluent in two languages: the language of biology and the language of code.
The Roadmap (My Proof-of-Work): This isn’t just a dream; it’s an iterative process. I am documenting every step, every course, and every hurdle publicly.
Phase 0 (Current): Mastery of Python, SQL, and Data Science basics. GED preparation. Establishing financial independence through remote skill-building.
Phase 1 (The Pivot): Strategic relocation to Argentina. Utilizing this base to secure international experience and build a professional network.
Phase 2 (The Destination): Academic and research career in the USA. Contributing to data-driven advancements in Microbiology.
Transparency & Support: I believe in “building in public.” My progress is recorded on my [viktoriloneli.substack.com/p/my-5-year-roadmap-from-russia-to-fd3], and my technical learnings are shared on my [I’m Learning to Code from Scratch: My 5-Year Roadmap to Becoming a Bio-Data Scientist - DEV Community https://dev.to/vikbot69/im-learning-to-code-from-scratch-my-5-year-roadmap-to-becoming-a-bio-data-scientist-5bab].
I am launching this Migration Fund to support my education, certification, and the logistical costs of this 5-year path. I don’t believe in “charity” in the traditional sense; I believe in community-supported progress. By supporting this journey, you are backing an early-stage researcher who is committed to transparency and long-term scientific contribution.
How to support:
Contribute via Crypto: You can support the protocol by donating directly to my address (USDT/ETH/BTC via TH38MatN1TD8Xy52LFfycJsTHrt6JCbLta ).
Collect this article: If you resonate with this mission, you can “collect” this post on Mirror.xyz as a digital proof of our interaction.
The code is running. The path is set. Follow my progress and let’s see how far curiosity and code can take us.
