ZetaChain is the only decentralized blockchain and smart contract platform built to interact with omnichain. It sounds quite interesting, but many people don’t understand it. Don’t rush to get upset, I’ll explain later what exactly this means and what are the advantages of ZetaChain.
In this article I will cover everything you need to know about the Zetachain testnet with detailed instructions and pictures. Even those who see crypto and swaps for the first time, I am sure that they can do this testnet in literally 5 minutes using the proposed guide. So, if you are not yet participating in the ZetaChain testnet, then take a break from unimportant activities and spend 5 minutes so as not to catch fomo later.
In my article I will have a brief overview of what Zetachain is and how you can use it, what is unique and the advantages of this decentralized platform. You'll also learn about their test network, including the swap feature, and how you can earn Zeta Points and appear on the leaderboard. Well, are you ready? let's start.
What is ZetaChain? Zetachain is built on Cosmos SDK and Tendermint consensus. This is a Proof-of-Stake blockchain, in which all transactions on the platform are completely transparent and verifiable.
“ZetaChain is a blockchain that enables omnichain, universal smart contracts and messaging between any blockchain. It solves the problems of “cross-chain” and “multi-chain” and aims to open up the crypto and global financial ecosystem to anyone“.
What does it mean? The Zetachains blockchain is capable of exchanging any asset on any chain for any other asset on any other chain in a single transaction. For example, with Zetachain you can convert USDT on the Ethereum network to Matic on the Polygon network. This helps users get tokens faster and cheaper. We've all been waiting for this, haven't we??
Admit it, everyone has dreamed of making exchanges between tokens in different networks so quickly and conveniently? With ZetaChain, this will finally become as convenient as possible for all users. The project is innovative and unique, so we don’t skip it, but we definitely take part in the testnet before it’s too late.
How to Participate in ZetaChain Testnet: Now let's dive into their testnet. Here's a step-by-step guide to using the testnet:
If you want to use their testnet, you first need to go to their Web site.
Click “Launch Testnet App” in the upper right corner of the site.
Now connect your wallet via the button “connect wallet” , select Metamask or Coinbase Wallet.
Approve the connection in your wallet.
Then be sure to connect your Twitter account via the tab Leaderboard.
As soon as Twitter is connected, go to the tab “Get Zeta” and request Zeta test tokens.
You can request tokens every 24 hours, that is, once a day. At the same time, there are small requirements for the Twitter account that you link to Zetachain: it must be older than 1 month!
There is also a faucet in the official Zetachain discord.
After we have received test tokens, we can move on to what we are all here for - the actual swaps.
Open the tab “Swap”.
Here it is possible to carry out swaps between different networks:
Goerli, BSC Testnet, Polygon Mumbai, Bitcoin Testnet And between different tokens in these networks: gETH, DAI, USDT, tBNB, tMATIC or BTCt.
At the same time, the uniqueness lies in the fact that you swap tokens not within one network, but between different networks! Cool, isn't it??
We select the desired pair, confirm the swap in the wallet and voila - you have made your first swap on Zetachain. How does it feel? Really wow? :)
But do not forget that to receive Zeta Points (1 swap = 7000 Zeta Points as of the date of publication of this article), you need to do a swap once a week: no more and no less often.
Leaderboard: You can also get Zeta Points in the “Leaderboard” tab, inviting your friends to participate in the testnet.
A window will appear where you can either share the link on your Twitter or copy the link and send it to your friends. Your friends need to log in to their Twitter account and also connect their wallet to receive points.
For every person you invite, you will receive 5,000 Zeta Points. The invited person will also receive 5000 Zeta Points.
For every weekly transaction your friend makes, you will receive an additional 1,750 Zeta Points.
Once someone uses your link, you will be able to see how many Zeta Points you have received.
In the “Leaderboard” tab you can also see your rank (place among all testnet participants), the number of transactions you have made on the Zeta chain network, and top leaders.
By the way, according to rumors, they promised to distribute an airdrop in proportion to the number of Zeta Points that you will manage to earn during the testnet, so I highly recommend setting yourself some kind of reminder so that you don’t forget to go to the site every 7 days and make 1 swap.
I also advise you to leave feedback in the official discord of the project, for which there is a separate thread #testnet-feedback. It is there that you can leave the address of your wallet, through which you perform the testnet, and also attach screenshots as confirmation and continue to hope for a possible drop in the future.

Also, don’t forget that, like almost any other project, ZetaChain has its own ZEALY with quite interesting and not at all monotonous tasks. Many of these assignments are aimed at developing creative skills, creating content, and growing the ZetaChain community. You won't have to do the endless retweets that have already gotten many Twitter accounts banned, so spend some time on this project and I hope we all don't regret it when the testnet ends.
