QQ is not paying attention to the meeting, somnolence invading all of their circuits. In their peripheral vision, they see their strange boss waving their flippers in the air, talking about some huge opportunity coming up for the company, he is saying something about the importance of employee loyalty, but why should QQ care? They are just a robot, doing what they were programmed to do, they don’t care about loyalty. Slowly their boss’s voice gets more and more distorted as QQ falls into a comforting dream.
The curtains open, the crowd sheering from all directions, the spotlight shining on QQ’s face, warm. All is ready for QQ’s show, big posters are covering all city of dreams’ walls. They are watching one of the posters and notice they seem bigger than before, could they be changing form? Transforming perhaps?

QQ would rather dream with their life as a Pop Idol, touching people’s hearts with their dreamy music, but instead, they get these dreams about being a … Hero? QQ doesn’t like confrontation, they can not even talk to their boss to get a raise, or ask the waiter to change their order because they got it wrong, why do they dream about being a Hero? could their programming be trying to tell them something? or maybe this is some sort of big metaphor for their journey towards financial freedom?

The QQ’s Hero Dreams collection is a representation of our dearest bot, QQ, and their journey to surpass their limitations and find their freedom. There are three stages to this journey:
I - Realisation:
01 ✦ QQ hates their f%!$@# job will rather be home eating Chinese takeout ( ̄︿ ̄)
02 ✦ QQ will not update their resume could not care less about their LinkedIn profile ( ̄ ̄|||)
03 ✦ QQ is not going back to the office I'm much more comfortable in my pjs, ty (♡˙︶˙♡)

II - Struggle:
04 ✦ QQ-01 is ready to quit ready to risk their daily matcha latte to get out of here! (ノ ˘_˘)ノ
05 ✦ QQ-01 is looking for a way out moving back to mom’s place is not an option ( ̄~ ̄;)
06 ✦ QQ-01 is not scared anymore couldn't care less about what other robots say about them ┐( ˘_˘ )┌

III - Power :
07 ✦ QQ has found their power turns out I'm much cooler than my boss after all (✧∀✧)/
08 ✦ QQ is unstoppable suffocating debt, get out of my way! (∩ᄑ_ᄑ)⊃━☆゚*・。
09 ✦ QQ’s transformation is complete new year, new QQ ( o˘◡˘o)

Fun fact: The inscription in Chinese characters present in some of the designs is 丢脸的工人, Diūliǎn de gōngrén, disgraceful, shameful worker. As creators, we had the urge to incorporate another language besides English to break out a bit from the dominance English has assumed as the main language for global communication, especially on the internet. We used Mandarin Chinese, one of the more widely spoken languages in the world in hopes to break away from this cultural monopoly and get to know more about other cultures.
