[WE] = World Explorers

What are we?

  • World explorers is a guild focused on playing & building on top of fully onchain games, built by players for players šŸ«”

What do we care about?

  • We really care about playing onchain games! Weā€™re playing with a main focus on having fun, fucking around and finding out, helping others have a good time first. Profit second.

  • We look to have a positive sum player impact in the games we participate in! In the case that we generate any profit from our participation in games, we look to re-invest and distribute those proceeds into public goods funding for the ecosystem, tournament winnings, sponsorships, cultural experiences, events and third party content or mods.

  • We want to advance shared truth seeking and coherence over ā€œpumping itā€. While we may accrue financial stake and ownership in the virtual worlds we participate in, we make a promise to stay intellectually honest in the discourse and progress around games. This means no ā€œpump the priceā€ tweets, no luring unsuspecting retail into buying tokens that we own and no ā€œthe metaverse is comingā€ type content. The only alpha will be gameplay alpha.

  • We will aim to be always be a credibly neutrally run, player operated entity. We aim to become a fully sustainable organization from our player activity: playing games, third party development, tournaments, events and sponsorships. We will never take on equity funding from an institutional source of capital. We will also never launch a liquid governance token. We either make it or die trying!

  • We care about what makes an onchain game, and through this we set 2 core values that we define a on chain game to be;

    • Majority of the games logic is stored on chain

      or

    • Proofs of the games logic computation are published onchain in some way

such that the game could be played from alternative front ends if the player decided to.

What do we focus on?

  • Playing games as a coordinated group.

  • Running and participating in tournaments.

  • Modding and building on top of games as a third party developer.

  • Providing feedback to developers on games.

  • Fucking around and finding out. šŸ’Ŗ

How are we governed?

  • We are currently run like an italian mob from the 1950s.

  • Except rather than just an individual, the Don is a 2 of 3 multisig, current signers are:

    • proofofjake, ownerofJK, Pet3rpan

Who are members of [WE]?

There are three tiers of WE membership:

  1. Fans ā€” casual players.

    1. Join our discord, start playing in otherā€™s & [WE]s tournaments in effort to earn the vouch to join the second tier.

  2. The Inner Circle ā€” local social network of WE, serious players & friends from other guilds etc.

    1. Need to be vouched by an active duty serving member of WE.

    2. Discuss alpha & strategies with other leading players of several onchain games.

  3. Serving ā€” active operations and duty for [WE].

    1. Must use the [WE] gamer tag when participating in games.

    2. Represents WE in an official game tournament once a quarter or contributes in another meaningful manner to the organisation.
