Maximal Extractable Value (MEV), formerly "Miner Extractable Value," encompasses the profits generated by participant parties in the block production supply chain, a revenue stream generated from priority gas auction (PGA). It's an emergent value of the game-theoretic system of incentives that distributed consensus blockchains hold.
MEV extraction is an unavoidable by-product of the way the block production supply chains work, and its impact scales concomitantly as the space grows. Its extraction can be a force of good in a non-predatory blockspace free market as an incentive for economic security.
The Dark Forest and interminable MEV memes are now mainstream. However, a quintessential question remained unanswered:
To help answer this question, a few anons and pseudo-anons on the internet got together to start what we believe is a clear bottom-up solution to democratize MEV extraction.
With the increased adoption of blockchain technologies, we believe searcher operators are bound to play a fundamental role in the ecosystem. Furthermore, with this fundamental premise, we are excited to announce that we are building Cyph3rs, the marketplace for builders, searcher operators, and protocols working on application-layer MEV solutions (e.g., private mempools, private order flow protocols, validator transaction reordering protocols, off-chain order flows).

We believe 2023 is when the community will define the directives for fair and democratized MEV extraction for the next many years.
Wholeheartedly, we couldnโt be more excited about this challenge.
We get it. We all have been there. That beautiful strategy used to work so well, but there is always a newer and a better one.
Nevertheless, you are a hero.
At Cyph3rs, we want to help you to keep playing your best game. We are building a platform where you can find new opportunities for your strategies and new strategies for new opportunities. A place where you can browse bounties, get matched to projects, find community and allies, and share your war stories. A place where even when your bots get retired, you can keep your anon or non-anon reputation.
We appreciate you. You have been delivering solutions to protect us in the Dark Forest. You are the pioneer of an entirely new financial design.
No doubts, you are a hero.
At Cyph3rs, we would like to help you connect with a network of searchers and builders, through a bot-as-a-service infrastructure. By mediating and hosting your hiring needs and distributing your grants and opportunities, we aim to help you foster better partnerships with the best minds of our generation. Thatโs our way of supporting you to continue doing the cool things you already do.
If you are a builder who is neither an experienced searcher operator nor part of an MEV-related protocol, thank you for reading this far.
We value your interest in being part of our generation's hottest PvP game, and we are launching a learning platform just for you. Read on, anon.
Today, we introduce Cyph3rs Academy, a platform where builders can learn the skills they need to design, strategize, build, and deploy MEV searchers.
Whether you are an ambitious builder just starting in the MEV space or an experienced searcher operator looking for new strategies, Cyph3rs Academy invites you to step up your game.

For this first quarter, we offer two subscription modes: Pepe and Chad. We are releasing a set of pre-games for each to teach you how to design and operate your first searchers or take your current strategies to the next level.

Each pre-game comes with end-to-end bot boilerplates for a specific strategy. If you complete the module, you will have a working searcher. While they may or may not be profitable, you will learn valuable skills to become a searcher operator.
Curious?
Here is the list of pre-games we are launching this quarter:
Learn the best tools and techniques for researching MEV transactions on the blockchains, including a workflow integration with ChatGPT. Arm yourself with a powerful toolkit while reviewing hot examples of profitable MEV transactions, war stories (such as Salmonella), and case studies of protocols such as Uniswap, Rook, and CoW (here is a sneak peek).
Design, build, and deploy a searcher that operates arbitrage strategies for UniswapV2, using Flashbots Auction. Add a quintessential bot boilerplate to your toolkit, which you can adapt for future profitable strategies, such as forks longtails.
Sometimes the edge is in the microseconds. Become acquainted with Rust language and write efficient and optimized production code for your searchers with real-world cases from the MEV world.
Design, build, and deploy searchers that utilize classic MEV techniques. Although these boilerplates are not be out-of-the-box profitable, you will be equipped with tools for future profit opportunities.
Learn classic MEV techniques, such as flashloans and snipping, as you design, build, and deploy a searcher that performs a (non-profitable) sandwich attack. Be equipped with essential boilerplates for future opportunities.
Ready for the real-world MEV game? Design, build, and deploy an advanced arbitrage strategy on Ethereum. Using the Bellman-Ford algorithm, this boilerplate furnishes you with one of the most popular arbitrage strategies, highly relevant for private order flow protocols.
Many hate Solana, but its arena is worthwhile. Design, build, and deploy a searcher on the Solana blockchain. Although this strategy may not be profitable as it is, it will furnish you with a boilerplate for future opportunities.
Ready for the real-world MEV battle? Build a searcher resourcing from several NFT longtail strategies that generated profit in the past. You can adapt these boilerplates for your next game.
Design, build, and deploy a searcher with an exciting strategy on GMX and an adapted version for GNS. Become equipped with advanced boilerplates for future profit opportunities.
Cyph3rs is the marketplace for builders, searcher operators, and MEV protocols. We are setting the Dark Forest on fire.
