Scroll Alpha Testnet - Full Guide

Scroll is a zkEVM-based zkRollup on Ethereum that enables native compatibility for existing Ethereum applications and tools. Recently, scroll has announced that it raised $50 million in its most recent funding round. Participants included Polychain Capital, Sequoia China, Bain Capital Crypto, Moore Capital Management, Variant Fund, Newman Capital, IOSG Ventures, and Qiming Venture Partners at an estimated total valuation of $1.8 billion.

There is a retroactive airdrop possibility from Scroll. Scroll is currently in Alpha Testnet so make sure to use the chain as much as possible on a daily basis to be eligible for the airdrop. This is a full guide explaining all the process that you can do in Scroll’s Alpha Testnet.

  • Go to scroll.io/alpha and add the Goerli as well as Scroll Alpha Testnet to your MetaMask and approve. Chain will be added to your MetaMask wallet.

  • Now, let’s bridge some ETH from Goerli to Scroll Alpha testnet. Go to scroll.io/alpha/bridge and bridge the ETH. Do the bridging other way around too.

It may take sometime to bridge from Goerli to Scroll Alpha Testnet.

  • Once confirmed, let’s swap some assets on Scroll Alpha Testnet. In the highlighted option, select token USDC (it may not be visible, paste the contract address below mentioned and click I understand). USDC contract address on Scroll Alpha:

  • Confirm Swap and confirm in the wallet. Do all the available swap options.

  • Now let’s add some liquidity, go to Pool option > New position > select USDC > choose any fee tier > select full range > select token amount as per availability > approve > select minting cap in the wallet (max)

Once approval transaction is confirmed > click on Preview > click on Add > confirm the transaction in wallet

Do these things like ‘Increase Liquidity’, ‘Remove Liquidity’ and ‘Collect fees’ from time to time.
