Polygon Labs Releases Ethereum L2 Network Development Kit

Polygon Labs has introduced the Polygon CDK (Custom Development Kit), a software toolkit designed for creating and operating layer 2 (L2) Ethereum networks utilizing zero-knowledge proof (ZK) technology. The Polygon CDK is an open-source modular foundation that enables developers to establish their own L2 networks, which can be interconnected with other chains via a shared ZK bridge.

This toolkit is being promoted as an advancement of the Supernets platform, which offers projects the ability to utilize application chain protocols similar to sidechains. Polygon Labs has emphasized that blockchains created with the Polygon CDK will be compatible with one another, granting them access to combined liquidity from all Polygon chains and simplified access to Ethereum-based assets.

The release of Polygon CDK aims to contribute to the expansion and enhancement of Ethereum's ecosystem by providing developers with tools to create scalable and interoperable L2 solutions.
