Welcome to the What If Series

World build with us through conversation with radical ideas and guests

Emergent thinker Adrienne Maree Brown talks of how we are faced with an imagination battlefield*. Many of us inhabit realities that were imagined for us by others, and for many these realities do not provide the conditions for prosperity and joy.

With the enormous problems we face today we collectively need to explore radically new imaginings that can support the dreams and prosperity of all beings. We need to ask unthinkable questions, challenge the status quo and form drastically different mental models.

Fang and Nirmala met in the web3 community Kernel. Over catch ups and conversations in Amsterdam explored many ideas about a new world that would capture the intentions of abundance for all.

Many of these ideas we discovered through kernel or its many members or random forks in the road in the slack group.

Many of these ideas and people existed on the fringe but are really pivotal triggering radical imaginings required to world build new ways of being.  We wanted to find a way and format to share it with a wider audience.

A format that would be accessible, inspiring and archivable as a resource for others on their world building journey, as they fight through their imagination battlefield. This is why we chose twitter spaces as a live and conversational tool for world building through radically inspiring guests.

This is our space to practice visionary fiction in an open forum with a diverse group of hearts and minds.

Kernel Community

We are proud to have Kernel as co-host for our first few conversations. We both met through Kernel during Block 5, both joining from Amsterdam in the Spring of 2021.

Kernel is an extremely diverse, special and heartwarming community that is exploring social change and transformative justice through the lens of web3 and blockchain technology. The goal is to attract the most diverse and interesting and groundbreaking thinkers and builders to find community and seed their projects and ideas.

To access all the readings and find out more about Kernel and future blocks visit kernel.community.
