Wildfire Gov Update 10/18/22

DeFi

  • Aave Proposal; Add TRYB to Aave V3 on Avalanche Network, Isolation Mode

    • BiLira would like to onboard TRYB.

    • This AIP lists BiLira (TRYB) on AAVE V3, Avalanche Network, Isolation Mode, the only 1:1 Turkish Lira-backed stablecoin.

    • The full-reserve stable cryptocurrency BiLira (TRYB) is built on the Ethereum blockchain and available on 6 blockchains. It is secured, collateralized 1:1, and ERC-20 token compliant.

    • TRYB (BiLira) is Aave's good borrowing and collateral asset.

    • Aave will get more people to use DeFi by letting its current users use cash as collateral.

    • Institutional and retail participants intend to borrow TRYB to market in the Turkish Lira crypto marketplaces.

  • Aave Proposal; [ARC] Risk Parameter Updates for Aave V3 Avalanche

    • A proposal to adjust five (5) total risk parameters, including Liquidation Threshold and Liquidation Bonus, across five (5) Aave V3 Avalanche assets.

    • Gauntlet has been creating Aave V3 AVAX risk management simulation infrastructure for months.

    • Our simulation engine recalculated Aave V3 AVAX protocol parameters using the latest market data.

    • Gauntlet optimizes insolvencies, liquidations, and borrow utilization to determine parameter recommendations.

    • This collection of parameter changes maintains the protocol's risk tolerance while making asset risk trade-offs.

    • We're giving the community additional time to review Gauntlet's initial V3 Avalanche suggestions.

    • We're aiming for a Snapshot vote in 5 days, with voting starting 24H in the future and lasting 6 days.

  • Balancer Proposal; Add a Gauge for the BADGER/rETH 50/50 Boosted Pool

    • This proposal is to add a gauge for the BADGER/rETH 50/50 Boosted Pool

    • BadgerDAO is a well-established DeFi DAO constructing Bitcoin infrastructure. Badger Vaults has about $80m in TVL, with additional TVL scattered over DeFi.

    • Badger wants BADGER/ETH liquidity. This indicator will yield BADGER holders who pair with ETH.

    • Arbitrage potential between this gauge and the BADGER/wBTC gauge will also boost Balancer trading volumes and fees.

    • Balancer and BADGER LPs earn pool rETH staking rewards.

    • The Balancer ecosystem will get liquidity through BADGER/rETH 50/50 Pool incentives.

    • We want a variety of exchanges to boost BADGER token liquidity and provide Badger supporters with several ways to earn fees and returns.

Public Goods

  • ENS Discussion; ENS Nominated for DAO of the Year

    • The cryptie awards are coming around and the ENS DAO is a top-five finalist!

    • The awards are hosted by Dectrpy media

    • The ceremony will be held on November 20th

  • Gitcoin Discussion; What is my Delegate Doing?

    • In this discussion post, abitrolly poses the question of what happens to delegates if you lose track of them by forgetting exactly who you delegated to

    • Some solutions would be to go through tally.xyz but this would take time

    • This poses an idea of direct delegate tracking on Gitcoin to easily see who you delegated to in order to keep tabs on your delegate

Creator Economy

  • SuperRare Proposal; Super Rare to Sponsor ComplexCon 2022

    • This proposal is to see whether or not SuperRare DAO should sponsor Complexcon at the cost of $50,000 USD

    • Complexcon is an art festival in Long Beach California that will span for two days

    • SuperRare is deciding whether or not to sponsor the event and how large the booth in question should be

    • This would increase the visibility of SuperRare to art enthusiasts outside of Web3 but going “overkill” on the booth might send the wrong message

  • Bankless Tempcheck; Season 6 - Grants Committee Election Application Submission

    •  This Grants Committee will be made of a multi-sig of 5 - 7 members with the responsibilities of:

      • “The Committee is responsible and accountable for managing the grants system, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grants treasury, with the help of other guilds as needed (e.g., treasury).

      • The Committee has a quorum of five members and is otherwise responsible for its own operations.

      • The Committee cannot change the application process to be a Committee member without a snapshot vote and is encouraged to accept the DAO’s proposal template.

      • The Grants Committee is required to be transparent and communicative with the DAO, such as access to Committee meetings and an opportunity to voice opinions and feedback.”

    • The way it will work on snapshot is:

      • “Grants Committee Applications will be submitted and decided on by a weighted snapshot vote, and the highest 4 (potentially 5) voted applications will be elected into the Grants Committee.

      • Any unelected candidate can gather feedback, improve their resume, and resubmit for future vacancies.

      • Committee members can be recalled by Snapshot with a simple majority. Committee members may leave the Committee at any time by submitting a written resignation note to the Committee.”

    • Candidates will reply with:

      • Discord handle

      • Reason for applying

      • Qualifications

      • Sponsor(s)
