Bitcoin ETF Issuers Submit Updated SEC Filings

The spot Bitcoin ETF terrain seems vibrant and alive with significant updates from major players. BlackRock, VanEck, Valkyrie, Fidelity, WisdomTree, Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Invesco, and Galaxy have all diligently fine-tuned and submitted their finalized Spot Bitcoin ETF filings to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Eric Balchunas, the astute stock analyst from Bloomberg, highlighted BlackRock's intriguing move, revealing Jane Street and JPMorgan as authorized participants (AP) for their instrument. This disclosure raised eyebrows, especially considering Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan, who vocally advocated for the banishment of cryptocurrencies just a short while ago. Balchunas pondered over the irony, emphasizing that such revelations from BlackRock showcased a proactive stance, possibly positioning itself at the forefront amidst this evolving landscape.

Lawyer Scott Johnsson, expressing bemusement, couldn’t help but comment, “Further confirmation that we are living in a clown simulation where Jamie 'cryptocurrencies should be banned' Dimon’s firm will be the lead AP in a cutting-edge crypto spot ETF.”

Balchunas observed another intriguing development: issuers initiating a price skirmish. Invesco Galaxy, for instance, opted to waive fees for the initial six months, while Fidelity boldly set a modest fee of 0.39%, indicating a possible pricing strategy competition among these key players.
