The Introduction

Hello everyone,

My name is Adrian Moreno-Silva. I graduated with a BS in Neuroscience from UCLA. I managed a neurofeedback clinic in Los Angeles for two years where I saw an opportunity to start a new sector in the company that would increase my pay and grow the company, but my boss didn’t like my idea. Thing is, I wouldn’t take no for an answer. So what did he do? Well, he fired me. And so this is where my story begins.

I set out to be an entrepreneur. It’s been six months now, and to my surprise, my old boss was right. Unfortunately, my initial idea was too ambitious and complicated, and I failed. But I’m happy I did. I always hear about how most business ideas fail and how most entrepreneurs need to fail first before they succeed, so I see this as one step closer to success. So now here I am with a new and even bigger idea.

I’ll be talking about my idea in my next post. So stay tuned, because trust me, it’s a big one with real promise. I may have little experience and no funds, but this is where everyone starts, right?

I got into NFTs on Thanksgiving day after seeing so many posts of people turning $500 into $10,000. I FOMO’d into some projects hoping to do the same, and all that happened was I lost $1200 in the process. I hurt myself financially, but I figured the only way to learn about the space was to dive into it for the experience. I stopped focusing on flipping NFTs and decided to learn more about them instead.

I spent the next six weeks addicted to crypto and NFTs, consuming endless amounts of content and following every social media page and influencer I could find. And here’s what I learned.

You should not be getting into NFTs for the money. You should be getting into them to build a community of like-minded individuals and use this community to power your idea. I see NFT Projects as a great way to create a start-up. I took my previous idea, rebuilt it, and gathered up a team. Hint: it focuses on the brain and mental health.

My team consists of friends from UCLA who have graduated in the last three years. We’re all learning. The artist needs to learn generative art and turn her hobby into a profession. The developer needs to learn how to write smart contracts onto the blockchain. The marketer needs to apply what he already knows. So this is a blog where I write the story of the development of something great.

Many projects will fail, and this one very well could. Either way, feel free to join us on this journey because I really believe we have something special. I’ll fill you all in on the concept of the idea in my next post. I’m excited, and I hope you are too!

‘Till next time,

Adrian (theneuroscienceguy)
