After 105 days, we're finally getting to chat with Kartik, VP of Engineering & Head of WonderFi Labs!
What three words would you use to describe WonderFi Labs?
Innovation / Crazy / Fast
What’s your go to explanation of how crypto works?
Have you ever used an app called Splitwise to keep track of what you owe your friends? Crypto is basically that without the limitation of trust required to track between friends, opening it up to settle with anyone without knowing who they are, or where they are!
Which environment do you prefer for getting focused work done?
What’s the improvement you’d like to make to blockchain technology? Or what’s the one problem with blockchain technology you’d like to solve?
I really want people to leverage blockchain tech for day-to-day tasks without knowing the underlyings of how it works.
What’s your dream workspace setup?
What’s one thing you’ve learned from your colleagues?
Patience 😛
What’s the best part of your job? What’s the worst part of your job?
😄 Best part: Coding.
😖 Worst part: Fully remote.
Cats or dogs?
🐶🐱 I love both!
What’s your go-to slack emoji?
🙇
What’s the first app you check in the morning?
💬 Slack
What's your favourite book, game, movie and/or TV series?
📺 I really enjoy rom coms with my wife, the most recent one we watched was XO, Kitty.
What’s your favorite snack or drink to have while working?
🍵 Green tea
What’s your go-to lunch location during the workweek?
🍴 Anywhere with some good and spicy food, La Taqueria
What song do you play to get yourself in the zone?
🎧 Lofi Music with a cozy background (❄️ snowy and blanket in winters /🌻 garden settings in summer)
Youtube channel you accidentally binged after being recommended one video?
💻 More like Netflix shows for me, Xo Kitty is the most recent binge watch.
Bills Mafia or The 12th Man? a.k.a Buffalo Bills or Seattle Seahawks
Neither! 🙈
What's your most epic achievement?
Convincing my wife to let me buy a motorbike! 🏍
What do you do when you’re not working?
DIY house improvements / Riding motorbike (summer)
What’s your ideal way to spend a long weekend?
Is there a place people can follow your work and see what you're up to?
