When the real world is ravaged by a mysterious disease, society teeters on the brink of collapse in panic. The only hope seems to lie in a digital ark called Twinlands. Here, people can choose to upload their consciousness and replicate their bodies to become digital beings known as Explorers—NPCs who guide players on an entirely new journey.
The novel's protagonist, Bo-2, welcomes its "rebirth" against this backdrop. However, this seemingly promising new continent is far from paradise. As a newcomer, it faces a bizarre world with peculiar rules: at the orientation, it encounters teammates whose bodies can be kneaded like cotton and pixelated beings whose emotions are unreadable. Here, food can be porcelain plates, drinks can instantly turn to stone, and its survival depends entirely on a virtual asset called "Medals," whose fluctuating value directly determines its very survival.
