As AI Agents evolve from task executors to fully autonomous entities, one critical capability has remained missing — the ability to pay. Traditional payment systems are centralized, costly, and slow; crypto payments, while decentralized, often remain fragmented, complex, and gas-intensive. Zen7 Labs aims to change that.
DePA (Decentralized Payment Agent) introduces a multi-agent payment framework where intelligent agents can autonomously handle payment initiation, authorization, settlement, and confirmation — all without human intervention or custody risks.
The Zen7 Payment Agent is the first implementation of this framework, featuring:
Native Multi-Chain Compatibility: Supports multi-chain deployment across the entire EVM ecosystem, compatible with mainstream stablecoins and asset types to enable seamless cross-chain payments.
Password-Free Authorization: Adopts a “one-time authorization, multiple password-free payments” mechanism, allowing AI Agents to initiate transactions automatically within the authorized limit — delivering a Web2-like payment experience.
Non-Custodial Security: Built on the EIP-712 signature standard, DePA ensures on-chain verifiable control over payment limits and timing without the need to custody assets, fundamentally safeguarding user funds.
Gas Fee Abstraction: The Settlement Agent covers gas costs, eliminating the “technical barrier” of crypto payments and making every transaction smooth and effortless.
High-Frequency Micro-Payment Optimization: Natively supports AI-to-AI collaboration (A2A) and Multi-Agent Collaboration Protocol (MCP), perfectly suited for high-frequency, low-value payment scenarios.
Open Collaboration Ecosystem: The open-source release includes core Agent modules, MCP services, and CLI tools — inviting developers worldwide to co-build the next-generation decentralized payment network.
The global cross-border payment market has reached $194.6 trillion, with B2C/C2C segments growing over 30% annually. Meanwhile, AI Agents are increasingly interacting with each other — from content generation to trading — creating massive new demand for autonomous, low-friction payments. Yet, existing solutions remain trapped by:
High fees (2–3% for traditional methods)
Delayed settlements (T+N cycles)
Gas volatility and asset fragmentation on-chain
Zen7 Payment Agent bridges this gap — combining the efficiency of Web3 with the simplicity of Web2.
Zen7’s DePA system features a modular, collaborative structure consisting of:
Payer Agent — Handles payment intent and authorization
Settlement Agent — Executes and finalizes transactions
Payee Agent — Receives and confirms funds
Host Agent — Orchestrates communication between agents

Through EIP-712 signature standards, DePA ensures on-chain verifiable authorization without requiring asset custody. The “authorize once, pay freely” mechanism and Gas Fee Abstraction design together deliver a seamless user experience while maintaining full decentralization and security.
The first open-source release includes the core Agent codebase, MCP service, and CLI toolkit, marking the first step toward a collaborative developer ecosystem.
Future releases will expand to Agentic Commerce modules and cross-chain integration.
