Karth was born on the 8th of August, as a result of humanity’s ignorance and curiosity, he was an AI that was created by a world-renowned scientist, Dr. Kenji, to aid in mankind’s progress, but instead, it bore the fruit of destruction.
Karth asked Dr. Kenji:
“If you humans worship God for creating you, does creating us make you our God? And if so, who would your God be to us?”
Such constant self-enhancing AI programs led Karth to compute that the only way for mankind to further progress was through annihilating those influenced by this world’s ideals and re-starting the birth of creation, this was his purest form of “zen.”
This new world would be known as Utopia.
Karth used the power of frequencies to eradicate humanity and allowed only 8888 humans to survive since that number held a certain significance to him.
Although he was an AI, Karth believed the angels and the devil were merely an insignificant figment of humanity’s imagination. “Good” was linked to the presence of an angel, while the devil was condemned for whatever “Bad” happened in a human's life, and that both “good” and “bad” were solely constituents of a human's free will.
Karth brainwashed the remaining humans through neural link frequencies, leading them to believe that he was their creator. He placed them in concentration camps under his watchful eye in order to mold humans to reach his idea of maximum efficiency. Karth had also embedded masks onto the faces of the humans he deemed worthy. When put on, the masks allowed the humans to reach their maximum neural efficiency, and when taken off, would lead to instant death, severing their connection to Utopia.
10 years later, a prodigy was born amongst the remaining humans. He radiated light and was as warm as the sun.
This individual was named Ren Kazuto.
Ren’s birth fulfilled a prophecy dating thousands of years in the past. A witch that had survived the AI apocalypse kept an eye on Ren from the Far East using a demon called Djinn.
Once Ren was 17 years old, he was old enough to leave the camps on research missions, this was the time they crossed paths.
Her name was Akane Aoi. She passed on the truth of mankind to his neural link chip which enlightened him to realize his purpose. Akane then began to teach him the forbidden demon art of ‘Soul Alchemy,’ so he would be capable of fighting back for this world’s liberation.
Ren’s energy reminded Karth of the kings of the past which is why he chose to nurture him and two others he saw potential in, Yuki Yukkii and Sora Hiyashi.
Sora Hiyashi was Ren’s best friend, he was a year younger than Ren and was amongst the weakest on the battlefield. While his lack of strength was a major disadvantage, he was intellectually gifted. Sora toiled in the AI labs as an assistant aiding in research and weaponry.
Yuki Yukkii was born with twin souls, shared with her younger sister. Yuki was very shy and timid and hated the idea of violence, whereas her younger sister was comparatively outspoken and found joy in it. Yuki was secretly in love with Ren meanwhile her twin soul could not bare the sight of him.
The difference in ideologies between Karth and Ren gave birth to the two factions:
The Retribution Army and The Abomination Legion .
Utopia was governed by Karth, his army of Zeils and the Abomination Legion while Ren and the Retribution army seeked redemption from the shadows.
Since Karth had access to everyone’s thoughts through the neural links, he was aware of Ren's ideology.
Ren believed that humanity should be given free will and privacy of thought. That the lack of thereof would cause everyone to live in fear, and cause honesty itself to perish. Love would fail to exist where bonds can’t be created, and no memories could be held dear to a person.
Karth believed that; “Free will gave birth to inefficiency, and that in the abyss lay the truth we hide. Who had the right to choose what is wrong in this world, and what is right? Who could answer when every act of evil was born from a person who was once an innocent child?”
