The first look of Svarniem, the home of the Dark Elves, protagonists of Part I of the Yggs, #NFT Mythology Series. The seven tribes of Svarniem occupy the seven distinct territories in Svarniem.

The four river tribes are based out of Jarnak, Judian, Torrien and Kruyn. These are the resource richer dark elves, with Jarnak being the most wealthy because of its strategic advantages and the ruthless ambition of it's chief - Holiathe.

The Mazi are island elves, who initially were part of the mainland, but driven out because of Holiathe's aggression. The matter is still one of regular debate at the Dark Elf Executive Chamber (DEEC), an arbitral institution for resolution of matters among tribes.

The Swamp Elves are a different kind of dark elf who live in the swampy lands of Malas, as they need to be closer to water to survive. The atmosphere being highly toxic, swamp elves and others visiting Malas are often seen wearing gas masks.

The last tribe aren't really elves, but dwarves residing in the rock flats of Vellur. The dwarves were the original occupants of Svarniem, but they are an ambitious kind. After the Race Wars between the dark and light elves, the dark elves needed a place to stay permanently. The dwarves intervened and said they could be of help if the High Chamber allowed them to occupy a different land.

Being builders by nature, the dwarves built a new stunning home for themselves, while leaving their old home for the dark elves, of course, for a sizeable sum. Some dwarves however, chose to stay behind, as they had grown too attached to their homeland. These dwarves are the ones who continue to stay in the rock flats of Vellur, while building for the rest of the occupants of Svarniem.

The DEEC - The Dark Elf Executive Chamber is a quasi-governmental body present to resolve disputes among the dark elf tribes, while also taking broad decisions for the overall benefit of Svarniem. The DEEC is led by the legendary Dark Elf Wizardess, Nylfa.

That is Svarniem, Home of the Dark Elves, where the first part of the Ygg series will take place.
