There are certain things and events in this world that go beyond the limits of scientific explanation, and of the things that do, research and notions about the soul are one of the most obscure and hardest to prove, or consequently, disprove. Researchers since ancient times have constantly brooded over and tried to answer the following questions: does the human soul– and other living organisms’ souls – exist? And if it does, how does one measure or perceive it? Is consciousness the same as a soul? And if so, can a soul be manufactured, copied, or controlled?
And for thousands of years, a provable empirical answer had eluded even the best and brightest minds humanity had to offer. But what if the answer was right in front of the eyes of the searcher? Many patterns that happen on the macro-scale has their own correlation to a pattern that occurs on the micro-scale. Take for instance, a sound wave that is being sped up on the scientific level. A music engineer can confirm that if a person speeds up a certain music file and increasing the speed of it, it will reach a level of sounding like a jackhammer and once sped up even more, will start sounding like the original file, albeit being playing in higher-speed chunks.
Take this notion - scope it out even more - and one could say the movement of the stars, the patterns in their movements, have similar corresponding results down on the ones observing these patterns.
The ancient eastern ideas of the world centered around balance, of yin and yang, and of harmony with the natural elements. They believed that understanding and properly deciphering the movement of the stars and their effect upon the Earth could help us find balance within our psyche. And while this might sound ridiculous to some, it was also fact that the ancient East also had the lowest levels of mental and emotional illness reports during the height of these beliefs.
Perhaps the windows to the soul, the ways to measure the soul, and to recognize the soul, is a lot easier to find when one lets go of certain scientific notions, and embrace a side logic. Like how Newtonian math and the math behind Einstein’s General Relativity differ slightly in basic assumptions to explain the phenomena they were created for, the math behind measuring and making calculations about the soul is similarly different and should have always included the measurement of expressive realization.
The ability to actualize what is normally inside an individual to everyone else out in the material world with certain precision and accuracy. For our minds and souls are far stronger and potent than most realize.
Once one is able to do this - they start on the path of self-realization, of self-actualization, whether they want to or not. And on this road it is sink or swim - one must bravely take steps forward in order to make sure they do not fall back in the drear of monotony; to be crushed by the weight of the mundane.
An epic coming-of-age saga of adventuring into the abyss of imaginations while fighting to maintain a healthy mind, body, and soul state using different techniques and balancing expectations with realities.
